Christmas!!

A sick Christmas.....

Well we like everyone else had a wonderful holiday weekend. We started our festivities last Sunday with a holiday party at Jeff's Mom and Rich's house. It was a lot of fun we had some great BBQ...that Rob and Shannon brought. It was a lot fun to be together as a group and catch up. Patrice made some amazing cupcakes and Noah and Sawyer enjoyed new toys. Noah loved baby Jesus and keeps wanting to sing him Jingle Bells. On Monday we went to Jeff's Dad and Michelle's house to celebrate Christmas Eve with everyone. We had a great dinner, I am still wanting more mashed potatoes and scalloped potatoes... they were so good. The boys had a lot of fun chasing after their dog Boomer. Poor Boomer could not get away from them!! I was so excited because I got a new camera from Jeff's Dad and Grandma and can finally take pictures again!!! We went out to Temecula after the festivities to spend some time with my family. We finally got to bed and then an hour later Sawyer was up totally throwing up. Jeff ran off to the pharmacy. I stayed up the remainder of the night worried that my poor babies first Christmas was ruined. Thank goodness the Christmas Story was on all night on TBS or I would have been really bored. Despite Sawyer being sick he was still very mellow and good on Christmas day. Noah had so much fun opening and playing with all of his new toys. He got a TON!!! He had a lot of fun playing with his cousins. Sawyer is finally feeling better today and I am just waiting for the rest of us to come down with the dreaded flu!!! So we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!!

A Holiday Affair......

SO this is a very OLD photo but I have no pictures do to my broken camera...good thing Christmas is almost here!!

So really I love this time of year, from my poem I do sound a bit dramatic...but duh I am dramatic. So I am sure that it surprises no one when I exaggerate. Well this past weekend Jeff and I got the opportunity to attend his work Christmas party. The last two years his old work was horrible at parties, the first year they went to a pool hall?? And last year the went to a miniature golf course?? Very lame. So this year I was very excited to get a nice dinner at a yacht club and front row seats for the Newport Beach Boat Parade! I loved the boat parade...it was so fun to watch the boats totally decked out. The food was good a little too fancy for me but still good. We had a lot of fun and really appreciate my parents for giving us a very much needed night off!!! On Saturday we went down to Temecula to get the boys and our NEW fridge!!! I am so happy it is so great to have a fridge with shelves.....and it was so nice of Jeff's friend Troy and his cousin Ryan to come and help us get it in. I love it and couldn't be happier!!!

An attempt at a poem....

Twas a week and two days before Christmas...

My camera is dead and the blogging has stalled
I am so stressed I think I might go bald

The shopping is no where near done
and the malls are oh so fun

I keep dragging my family from one event to another
and then wonder why my two year old wants a new mother

The boys are busy busy
and I am dizzy dizzy

Jeff is very busy at work with the end of the year
I am trying so hard to spread more holiday cheer!!!

okay so I can't even rhyme...but I am a dork with no post in a while...I have to try and get my pictures up. We had a great weekend last week we participated in many activities even despite the rain....Noah loved Follow the Star at our church and wanted to just be with all the animals. We made a gingerbread tree with some of Jeff's cousins and Jody found some really great markers that you can draw on food with and they are edible!! The kids loved playing with them.They made snowmen with vanilla wafers and marshmallows. We are having so much fun with this time of year!! I love that Noah is so into all of the holiday festivities! I hope you are enjoying the season too!!

Disguisting....

All I can say is gross!!! This morning I was making Jeff's lunch and Sawyer was right in the kitchen crawling as usual. I looked down and saw something that looked like a black string in his hand....then I realized it was moving and it was a WORM!!! And yes he had already put it in his mouth. Me being the biggest bug wimp started screaming for Jeff and telling Sawyer to let go, like he even knew what I was talking about. I finally grabbed him by the arm and made Jeff grab the worm I am such a wimp. I don't know what I would have done if he had not been here. Luckily Sawyer has no teeth so the worm was still intact.

On a better note, Noah is obsessed with the song Jingle Bells...he started singing it last night at dinner and then again this morning, it is so cute. A boy after my own heart, whenever we are in the car he asks me to turn up the Christmas music!!

Baby Discrimination!!

Dear Retail Stores(who carry baby items),

I am a mom with a chubby baby....this is his first Christmas and yes he wears at least twelve months...why must you discriminate and not make first Christmas outfits for my little butterball. I promise he would look just as cute as the skinny babes out there. I have been so sad and have had to settle with a 2T Santa Hat and a bib. For my next baby will you please make outfits big enough for all the firsts!!

Noah is constantly cracking me up I wish that I could just video tape him twenty four seven. Yesterday he got himself dressed and told me he was ready to go...here is what he came up with....

He was not happy when I told him I would not take him anywhere looking like that.
We have this great gate for Sawyer, I highly recommend it. Noah hates when I put Sawyer in it because he can't get to him or drive him nuts. Yesterday he asked if he could play in it.

It did not last long but Sawyer enjoyed a bottle and some crawling space free of a tyrant who thinks he is helping. I am so glad that I get to spend every day with these cuties and all the joy and craziness that come from all that they do!!

Bring on Christmas.......

I am so excited for Christmas this year...lets be honest I am every year but the last few years it has always been a let down at the end. But this year Noah is finally old enough to understand. He loves playing with my baby Jesus from my Creche (I should have bought the little people one in October...dang maybe next year), he is really into Santa and just everything is more exciting when you are doing it with your kids. I had the house completely decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving. I just can't believe it is not December 1st yet! I can't wait for all the holiday parties and stuff that makes December fly by! This is the first year that Jeff and I are using a big tree. I had so much fun decorating and I am very proud that it is my first real tree. And I got all the decorating stuff for so cheap! I must say that it was hard for me to do a fake tree and not a real one, but I will say I love having it up for so much longer and being able to leave the lights on more. (sorry mom and dad) I think I can get use to a fake one! I finally got some Christmas Wreath candles so it alteast smells like a real tree. Still not the same but with two little ones who wants to deal with needles!! So the Trapp's are ready for Christmas...BRING IT ON!!!

Turkey Love!!!!

Well as many of you we had a GREAT Thanksgiving!!! We went to my parents house, we were smaller in numbers, but my mom brought out the china and goblets!! It was so fun! Noah loved being with his cousins Porter and Carter they even had there own table for the three of them! Sawyer enjoyed every bit of the meal he ate turkey and potatoes and lots of jello. I think he might be allergic to pineapple both times when he ate the jello with pineapple in it he got really red cheeks?? Maybe it is just his teeth! We had a great time with my family yesterday...we went to the park and watched movies!! My parents completed there new kitchen appliances and bought a fridge...so we get there old one...and for any of you who have seen my fridge you know how excited I am to finally have a fridge with shelves!! It was a really great time and we are so thankful that we got to spend time with one another!!! We are now onto the decorating for Christmas my how time flies!!!! I had hoped to post pictures but my camera is totally broken so we will see!!!

Tagged...Again...6 Random things about me!!!

Well I am pretty much an open book as many of you know but I will try and be original and think of a few things that you don't know about me....

1. I am a beauty school drop out. Just like in the movie Grease...When I got pregnant with Noah we decided I needed to work to get Jeff done with school quicker, I tried to go back but it all just happened to close to the baby. In my defense I do have a current Nail license in California and Utah...maybe that makes me sound like less of a loser.

2. I am totally afraid of the dark! I hate walking around the house when it is dark and when Jeff is not home I turn on every light in the house....I won't even walk out to the garage without lights, I am a whimp.

3.I played three musical instruments in high school, the flute, the oboe and the saxophone. I even had to do marching band...which I hated...I was so embarassed about it I would try and shove my case into my back pack so no one would know I was a band geek.

4. I am not a good student...when I was in college I majored in EVERYTHING, only to end up with an associates in general studies! I wish I had focused more on something that I really enjoyed.

5. I hate hate hate to do Laundry...it was the running joke in high school that I never wore the same outfit because I spent all my money from working on buying new clothes so I would not have to wash the ones sitting in a heap on my floor. As a mom it is still my biggest downfall...lucky for me I have a husband who helps me get caught up on the weekends!

6. I love to practice my handwriting...I love to write things over and over again. When I was in school I used to rewrite my notes to make them look what I thought was perfect...I guess that is why I love getting new pens and paper!!!

My life is over......

Well after many many weeks of scooting and rocking Sawyer is crawling. I still am a little suprised it took him this long but I think he finally figured out the best way to save himself from his brother is to get away. I just can't believe it, Noah was eleven months before he figured out how to crawl. So this is just all new to me and I feel a little like my life is over now that I have two mobile boys!!! Also a Birthday shout to my cousin PORTER...well I think of him more like a nephew but he turned Four yesterday!!1 I can't even believe it! When Jeff and I first moved back to California we lived with Cari and Sam for a few months...Porter was just barely one and I was preggers with Noah, he used to come and cuddle up to my belly and fall asleep with me on the couch...now he could careless about cuddling with me, but I will always remember those sweet memories when he was little. We love you Porter and we are so happy that you got disney passes for your special day!! Now you can go with us!!!

Star Sighting......

So yesterday I was at Disneyland with my Mom and Sister. We had a great day the lines were very short and it is decorated for Christmas. It was a great day. We were walking past the castle at main street when we noticed tons of people flocking around a stage with a disco ball. I said it is probably someone from Dancing With the Stars. We asked the popcorn lady who it was and she said it was Jennie Garth!!!! I took off running towards the stage...with my double wide stroller. I am crazy but most of you know that I am obsessed with 90210...I still watch episodes every day. I have been using all of our phones every Monday night to vote for Jennie....We had to wait a while for her to come. My sister took some great pictures, even though my flash broke!! My mom and my kids were very patient!!! When Jennie finally came out she came out with Mickey Mouse, so there I am screaming for Jennie and Noah was right along side me screaming for Mickey. It was so great!!! So everyone had better vote for Jennie on Monday so she can make it to the finals!!!!

Did someone say FREE lunch???? And other Trapp Happenings

I realized I am a little behind on posting pictures since I have a ton on my camera! Today I got to go to lunch at a REAL restaurant and it was FREE....they just opened a new Red Robin by us and they are in the process of training so they are giving away free food!!! It was really fun, I was a bit worried about a restaurant with my kids but my friend Karin convinced me that it would be worth it and it was they were so good and I love Red Robin!!! It ends Saturday so let me know if you want the info and are in the area!!! We are going again on Saturday! Can you tell how cheap I am ....life on a budget stinks!!! Last Friday I got to go to breakfast for Cari's birthday....It was really good, Sawyer was going crazy, this kid is so over baby food, he loved toast, potatoes, and egg whites! Noah loves to get to spend time with his cousins! Friday night Jeff and I took Noah to Disneyland for a Mommy and Daddy date he loved being with us, I think he was so happy to have all the attention on him! This weekend I also got to attend my good friends Sarah's baby shower, she is having a girl in December or January....she got sooo much cute stuff it made me want a girl even more!!! It was a great weekend I love getting to spend time with my family. Oh another deal for the week....(thanks Karin) a vacuum...Big Lots had a great forty dollar deal I love it and the best part is I don't have to get a vacuum for Christmas!!!! I think I am rambling sorry for the crazy post!!!

Happy Birtday Orter and Arter's Mommy!!!

I love Cari she is has always been more like a sister to me than aunt and the last few years have been especially fun since we have kids the same age. I have always followed her around like a bratty little sister. She is a great mom, wife and friend, I have always looked up to her and I hope she has a fabulous day and year! I miss her now that I don't live as close, good thing we have blogs!!! I love you Cari and my boys love you too!!! Thanks for being my pretend older sister!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sorry this is late! Please please don't disown me for this picture....It is the only one I have of you...

My Boys....

On Monday we had playgroup at my house. The kids were having so much fun playing outside, Noah just inherited a house, slide and car...(Thanks Uncle Eric!!) So I was very excited for my little Noah to burn off all of his energy. All of us moms are lucky to get and sit and talk. One of the girls in our group just found out she is having a girl, so we got to talking about boys and girls and I was going on and on about how I will just die if I do not get a girl someday, I need a girl!!! Whenever any of my friends find out they are having one I get really jealous...I love my boys but I want a girly girl too! Is that too much to ask?? I hope not. But as I am sitting there saying how much I have to have a girl SOMEDAY, in walks Noah face covered in dirt and in his mouth full of dirt that he was choking on. They made dirt cakes and of course Noah being my child dove right in thinking it was cake!! All I could think is this is why I need a girl I am still not sure what to do with boys and dirt??!!! I am learning though I am getting a little better each time Noah brings me a bug...I am hoping if I can get this down to a science I will be up for the challenge of a girl!!!

I heart Halloween

Halloween Trapp Style......

I love love love Halloween!!!! We had such a great day!!! Well it started Tuesday night with our ward activity...Noah loved seeing all the big kids in masks and totally had NO fear. He finally got the hang of trunk or treat by the end. On Wednesday we went and had lunch at Jeff's office the kids dressed up and it was a great lunch!! And that night I got to host a Halloween party...I told Jeff months ago...and I had SO much fun doing it...I had the house looking like a pumpkin patch!! It was a great time and I am already in the works for next year!! Sawyer could have cared less about his turtle costume and was happier just being free. Noah loved his costume and loved all the candy....his favorite are SUCKERS!!! Thanks to all that came I hope you had as much fun as I did!! I can't wait to host another party....and don't worry I LOVE Christmas more than Halloween!!!

Family Campout......

This last weekend we had the annual Morgan Family Campout.....We were short a few regulars but as usual we still had a fun time even though we were a much smaller group. Noah had so much fun running around and playing in the dirt. Sawyer loved the sand at the beach! He was very fascinated with it and got mad when we took him away. I got to have my favorite things foil dinners and smores...that is why I camp. It looks like we picked a great weekend to go, the fires are very close to the campground in San Clemente. I hope it doesn't get to the campsites because I thought it was a great place to camp!!

I am DONE!!!!

I quit it is official I am done!! These fires that are all around us are making us crazy. Noah my very high energy child is going bonkers not being able to play outside or leave the house. The last time we stayed indoors for this many days was when we were sick a few weeks ago and so he keeps telling me he is sick and needs to go to the Dr. so he can get out of the house. Yesterday was better we had a fire party at our house, and it was so nice to sit around and talk while the kids played. But I really hope that this gets under control. The Santiago fire has been close to our house so far we have been fine but I still want to stay close in case we need to grab stuff and run. It has been a very good lesson for us and getting our things together and realizing what we need to have on hand with two little ones!! These pictures are to show the sky by our house and the ash on our car. This is after our gardener came and used a leaf blower to dust some of it off..I am trying so hard to not leave, Sawyer was up all night again last night his cough is back I think from all the smoke! If you look on my friend Kelly's blog it shows a map of how close we came to the fire we live. We are right under the 241 and by Marguerite, so it has come close but is now going the other direction but still only 30 percent contained.

Oh Noah......

Well he is it at it again. I swear we have had more drama with Noah in the last few months than we have had in his whole two years of life! Yesterday while we were at our playgroup Noah decided he needed to play upstairs, after I had told him over and over again not to go up there. After a few minutes I heard him cry and scream, I ran up the stairs thinking the worst and Noah had locked himself in his little friends bedroom. It is a lock that requires a key. So luckily I was once again with my great friends who helped me to remain calm and keep in eye on Sawyer while I tried to console Noah. Noah was screaming and crying to get him out. It is times like this I just wish he could understand a little better. It just about broke my heart when he stuck his little fingers under the door. So there I was holding his hand, slipping him candy, his pacifier and his blanket. My friend called her husband and he tried to pick the lock. He finally told me he didn't think he could get it and I should call a locksmith. At this point I was starting to panic, Noah had stopped talking and I figured he either choked on candy or fell asleep. Well as soon as I called the locksmith my friends husband was able to get him out! Sure enough he had fallen asleep on the other side of the door! So to my friends I promise I was not this much drama before you met me we where pretty uneventful!! I think someone Else's child should be the example next!!!

Michael Man

Happy Birthday Ichael!!!!!

This is two days late but worth it I promise!! My little brother Michael turned 16 on Sunday!!! I can not believe it I remember the day he was born and everything!! I love Michael he is such a GREAT uncle and Noah and Sawyer just can't get enough of him! I see so much of Michael in Noah and I even have called him Michael from time to time. I am so proud of Michael and he is such a great example to my boys....Watch out girls Michael is dating age!!!!! We love you Kunkle Ichael!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Disney Innovations.....

On Wednesday we got to go to Disneyland with my family. We had so much fun! This time while we were there we went into the Innovations in tomorrowland. I had never been there, but it is such a great place! It is nice and stroller friendly and there is so much for the kids to play with! Noah doesn't understand what the computers and such do but he had fun running around and touching everything! It is always fun when we go to Disneyland and even more fun when we find new things that we like to do! (I appologize for the overuse of the exclamation point but it is so much more fun than a period!!!!)

Pumpkins and General Conference!!!!

I love the fall season....I love the changing leaves, cooler weather, fall scents and the leaves that change colors but most of all I LOVE going to the pumpkin patch!!!! I was so sad last year when Noah would not take pictures for me, not much has changed....On Saturday we had a great family day!!! We went to the Corner Bakery for lunch....I love that place!!! They have the best sandwiches and salads....well the best everything I don't think I have ever had something that I don't like!! After that we took the boys to the Pumpkin City Pumpkin Patch. Once again I felt the need to take a thousand pictures luckily this year Sawyer can't argue so I got some really cute pictures of him. (Noah and Jeff did not like to participate as much)

Sunday we went down to Temecula to watch General Conference....Noah loves to be with his cousins. When we got in the car to go home it occurred to both of us that we had hardly seen Noah all day long!! We had a great time being together and it is always such a treat to get to listen to conference!!

A week in review......

Warning: baseball playoffs are on and it is either watch that or blog, so I apologize if this gets long.....Well it has been a week since I blogged so I thought I would catch you all up since we had a busy week.....Last Saturday we got to hang out with Jeff's Dad and Family, Jake, Jamie and Jenna were in town so it was a fun time to get together....if I was a better mom I would have taken pictures!!! On Sunday we (me and the boys) Jeff was sick, went down to Temecula to see Jack get blessed....it is so funny because Noah thinks that Jack is his baby he carries around his picture and talks about him, it is too funny! We also got to hangout with my family Noah loves to see them and play with his Grammy, Grampy, Eslie and Ickle....and his cousins Orter and Arter...(Noah speak) again if I was better I would take more pictures....

On Wednesday we went on vacation with Jeff's family to Disneyland!!! My favorite place!!! WE HAD SO MUCH FUN!!! It was just nice to be together and have fun..........

Noah loved the pool at the hotel, it had a little water slide that he thought was made just for him!!!

This was Noah with "Kunkle Ob" and "Aunt Annon" on it's a small world Noah had so much fun with them!! I think after spending a few days with him he definitely won't be getting cousins anytime soon!

One of Noah's favorite things to do this trip was to meet the different characters.....he was so obsessed!!!! Here are a few he met.....



Sawyer is the happiest baby I have ever met....He just hangs out in the stroller and is happy when his brother talks to him or we pick him up to go on a ride!!!

Noah loves being with his Grandpa and Grandma, he always has to make sure that Grandpa is paying attention to him at all times!!!


We had so much fun!!!

Attention all candy and chocolate lovers.....if you are ever in Downtown Disney there is the most fabulous candy store....Marcelines Confectionery!!! It is heaven on earth!!! I personally recommend the Rice Krispy Treat with chocolate or any of the chocolate covered pretzels!! I think I gained five pounds just walking past the store.....it is to DIE FOR!!!
