Thanksgiving 08

We had a great Thanksgiving Day in Temecula. We were many in numbers and I could not believe how great everyone was. The kids played SO well together and we really had a very pleasant day!

Aaron was teaching us some fun games during dinner. Can you tell who loves to pose. Noah was no where to be found and Sawyer loved smiling for the camera. LuLu and Owen brought some scarves so we had to get a giant group photo. But we had to take some funny shots with our scarves.

Oh and our crazy faces. Apparently this is a fun game Aaron and his friends play I was dying laughing so hard that I cried. You make a bunch of faces all fast and crazy and then you snap a picture seriously hilarious.
Sawyer loved waffles at Grammy's this morning especially the whipped cream.

My mom and I spent the morning making Christmas stockings I loved how they turned out and I feel so accomplished knowing I made something! My mom was so patient and helpful thanks again mom!!!

We had a great day and I am so glad that the weekend is not even over yet!! Jeff is at the Laker game tonight. I am only a little jealous I love watching basketball I think it is one of the most entertaining sports to watch!
Next time I hope!! And if I wasn't so beyond exhausted I would be putting up my decorations. But I will get to that tomorrow! YIPEE!!!

Thankful....

Happy Turkey Day: from my Turkey's (one is missing, and really right now he is my biggest turkey)

Thankful Thursday:

1. I am thankful for family, I love getting together, playing games and having fun. I love that my brother will be home and last night we got to see Jeff's family and the cousins. Noah and Jenna had a lot of fun together and really we wish we saw them more!

2. I am thankful that it is a four day weekend. Thank goodness.

3. I am thankful that I am the only girl around here....YES this is a new development. But I am I like being spoiled rotten, getting my nails done and buying clothes. Really I am lucky. I know I wouldn't be as spoiled if we had a girl.

4. I am thankful for the rain! I love the rain and I love that it finally feels like winter around here!

5. I am thankful for earings.....recently I have been obsessed (thanks Bethany) Really they make every outfit cuter!

6. I am thankful that I have NEVER had to cook a Thanksgiving meal. I know I will have to someday but really Have you seen my kitchen I don't think a turkey would fit in it.

7. I am thankful for immunizations.....really this sounds horrible and mean but Ryder has been so happy since he got his shots on Tuesday. Sad but really what was in that stuff he is so smiley and happy.

8. I am thankful for healthy kids. They are all growing and thriving and are just getting bigger everyday.

9. I am thankful for snapfish. I got the free book from Oprah and I have loved looking through the book. Really it makes me want to scrapbook.

10. and finally I am thankful that finally tomorrow I get to put up my tree and all other Christmas decor!!

I hope everyone has a safe wonderful holiday. And be thankful! I know I am!

Really......

So I saw Twilight last night. I am not going to say I LOVED it but I didn't HATE it either. I feel like because so many people loved the books that we were just expected to LOVE the movie....me not so much.

Really I had low expectations for this movie...until everyone and their dog saw it and said it was amazing.....really was I watching the same movie??? The begining with a lot of scenes at the High School killed me ALL of those kids were totally ridiculous. BAD BAD acting. I could have acted better really. But once I got passed that and the totally ridiculous people behind us. I enjoyed it. Really like I said I wasn't expecting much. I am actually just kind of over all the hype. Really I loved the books, I mean they were hideously cheesy but I enjoyed the easy no challenge read. So all in all the movies were like the books juvenile but entertaining.
Totally my opinion so don't hate!!

SAN DIEGO

After dropping the boys off with my parents we headed off to San Diego. Our fist stop had to over course be our FAVORITE Mexican food restraunt. It was to DIE for.

Saturday we headed to Balboa Park and hit up the San Diego Natural History Museum. We had fun, for a little while we got a little bored....hence all the random pictures we were trying to make fun of ourselves and take weird pictures. They did have this interesting water exhibit. One of the things was all about bottled water and it talked about how here in California water companies use TAP water....I thought that was crazy. They use tap water and then use additives to make it taste different. So I thought that was pretty hilarious.

We spent the rest of the day walking around Fashion Valley Mall. We attempted to see a movie but he wouldn't have it so Jeff enjoyed James Bond while Ryder and I walked around the mall. We had a yummy dinner and then headed to Target to get some treats for the boys. Jeff even bought some Christmas stuff. Including a horrible 80's Christmas CD. If you LOVE the 80's like Jeff you would LOVE it too.
Saturday night was a long night Ryder refused to sleep so I spent a few hours walking the hotel. We checked out and then headed to cornado and walked around the beautiful hotel Del. I had the best truffle....mmm I want another...diet what??

We then headed to seaport village to walk around and then back to El Indio on our way out of town. We had such a GREAT time and it was so nice to be together. I miss you Jeff already! Luckily it is a short week. Thanks babe for a great time!!

Thankful Thursday....part 2......

I almost forgot about this today....really doing this blogging thing once a day is kind of a pain. At first I thought it was great but it is harder than I thought. BUT the month is almost over!! However I am enjoying thankful Thursday's and I may continue this one after November.

1. I am thankful for parents. Jeff and I very blessed with great parents, parents who are wonderful Grandparents, our boys enjoy each of them and get so excited about seeing each of them. They are always helpful and supportive and we are very blessed.
2. I am thankful for hand prints. It seems like every where I turn my boys are making messes upon messes but I grateful for those cute little hand prints and I am sure some day I will miss them.
3. I am thankful for Jeff. It has been a busy week around here and he is so helpful allowing me to get out and knowing how happy it makes me. Just like my cute earrings he let me buy because I was feeling down. LOVE THEM. LOVE HIM.
4. I am thankful that Noah gets to go to preschool. Not only for the obvious reasons of me getting five hours a week with just two kids but he is learning so much. I feel like he is making good friends and loving it all. He loves to sing and do sharing they are his favorite things. Or so he tells me.
5. I am thankful for cookies....It was the ONLY way I was going to get a shopping trip this morning with my firey red Head. (Seriously his hair matches his sassy attitude these days)
6. I am thankful for a clean house....although that is rare and almost impossible, I love when it looks nice!!

7. I am thankful for my blog....it brings me great joy and I have so much fun keeping this journal. I love looking back and reading over our journey!!!

Today while I was on the phone with the bank Sawyer TRIED to share his fruit snacks with Ryder he shoved an entire fruit snack in his mouth. I am thankful, that I got it out, turning him upside basically, I am thankful for not panicking and lastly thanks to the personal banker for not calling CPS really I am not a bad mom....things happen right?
This is such a great reminder.......ENJOY and if you feel so inclined try yourself you won't be sorry.

Gaining Perspective.........

Today I am really trying hard to remember that someday I will be old and they will be bigger. They won't always be screaming at the top of their lungs in costco, or bringing me bugs from outside, asking to watch the same movie over and over. I will be the one begging them for wubs. I am really trying today, REALLY TRYING!

Firemen.....

I was watching the coverage of the fires burning in so-cal this morning on the news. Next thing I know Noah and Sawyer were screaming fire fire fire and running around like indians. I did get them to stop and take this picture.

I can't believe all the people who have lost homes and things to these fires. Really I hate when the Santa Ana's pop up and cause havoc around here. My heart goes out to all the people and most of all to all the firemen for all their hard work and courage. I hope they continue to get them under control and keep the masses safe!!

Best Sleeper....

And I bet you thought with that title this would be about Ryder....but nope, him and Noah are currently competing for the worst sleeper award.

Anyway ever since Sawyer was little he has been a great sleeper. He LOVES his sleep. To this day he will still take two, two hour naps and sleep 7-7. Now it doesn't always happen this way but I will take it. Also he will fall asleep anywhere (take above picture) He fell asleep while he had two of his friends over. It was hilarious. I just love a sleeping baby.

Pretty in PINK....

Last Saturday my friend Katie and I threw a shower for our friend Kelly who is having a baby girl in a few weeks. The moment I found out Kelly was having a girl I told her that I wanted to throw her a shower she is the first (since I moved here) to have a girl a midst all of these boys.
Katie was wonderful to help me and have it at her GORGEOUS house....seriously I can't believe how beautiful her house looks and she only moved in a few months ago.

It was so fun do things all pink and cute, we decided to do a brunch shower, it turned out so great and all the food that everyone brought was SO yummy. Kelly got a ton of fun girly things, really I had to stop watching for fear that a) I may steal Piper once she is born or b)I would have stolen the clothes to put on Ryder...he's bald no one will notice right?

Katie had so many great ideas for decorating and I had so much doing it. Lisa and Katie helped me make some cute bath salts in mason jars with perfect pink bows. It was so cute if only I had gotten pictures.
It was a great morning and THANKS to all who came and helped us!!
and CONGRATS Kelly I can't wait to see Piper in ALL her adorable clothes!!

Don't ask me why I am posing like such a dork!!
Me, Katie, Kelly, Shaylyn and Lisa:

Some of the cute decorations...Katie did so awesome on the name garland I loved it!!

Enjoying the yummy food!!

Four months already?

I know I say this every month, but really it is going way too fast!! I love this sweetie, these last four months of my life really have been the most challenging....I feel like Ryder is finally getting back to his cute sweet self. Here are some of things he loves:

1. His car seat....really he sleeps in it every single night and refuses to sleep in the bassinet.
2. He likes soft blankets to wrap up in....I need to get to making him one for Christmas I am going on a fabric hunt tomorrow.
3. He likes to stay up late, I think he knows this is the only time he gets mom and dad 100%. I wish that would help him sleep longer but nope.
4. He loves his big brothers he loves when they talk to him and pay attention to him.
5. He loves to talk
6. He loves to suck on his fingers....he refuses the pacifier and yes I am still trying to force it on him I know I am horrible but seriously I don't know what to do if my kids don't have some kind of security blanket.

Yuck......

So as if I wasn't already dreading another Sunday....seriously it may just be the worst day of the week around here....which is sad because I love church but really it is more work than I get out of it with the boys. Anyway I woke up this morning at 4am with Ryder while I was nursing him Noah came in and told Jeff he was wet. Thinking he wet the bed Jeff went to check it out...nope he threw up.....So here I am I have up since 4am with all three boys. I definitely see a nap in my future. I hope it is not the flu...I am not sure he ate a lot of junk yesterday at the movies and at dinner so I hope that is all it is. And he is now bouncing off the walls, furniture and begging for food....and he does not want anything off the BRAT diet that we serve after barf.... Anyway so it is going to be a LONG day!!!

On another note I am BORED...I changed my background I am so ready for Christmas already...really I may pull out the decorations today....we will see if Jeff allows it, he has very strict rules about no Christmas until after Thanksgiving. We will see if I can break him today.....If Target and Disneyland have started decorating I say it is okay!! It's not that I don't like thanksgiving in fact I love it, but the blog needed a change and like I said I am bored. So in honor of Thanksgiving I will be doing a post every Thursday titled "thankful Thursday" so I will prove that I am thankful....really I am!!

So it's going to be a LONG day at the Trapp house today....here's to hoping no one else gets sick!!!

Perspective

This was suppose to be my post for yesterday, but as you have already read drama trumped that one.

On Wednesday night we had the opportunity to go here with my family,

We did sealings and it was so nice to be there, we were even in the same room that Jeff and I got married in and it was so precious to be there together!! The sealer talked briefly about how fitting it was to be in the temple the day after such a huge win for the family. To think we could have lost some of those rights...It was so nice to put things in perspective and enjoy the true meaning of family. When we got home and were carrying the boys to the car it made me totally feel renewed and I knew I could conquer whatever the rest of the week brought. And then with what happened yesterday I am so glad I had gotten the opportunity to be at the Temple otherwise I would have had a nervous breakdown yesterday.

I love these people and it was so nice to be surronded by their love!!!

I am so grateful for Jody and Rich who watched the boys last minute (since I forgot) and took good care of them! Leslie also met us at the temple to watch Ryder....thanks Les....and I hope you are enjoying breaking dawn!!

Oh and Sawyer is great...really you never would know that he fell 6 feet...thank goodness kids are so resiliant!!

Seriously....

I have always heard that God doesn't give us more than we can handle....well I am done I officially can't handle ANY more.

Today while we were playing at the park for ward park day Sawyer took about a 6 ft fall head first of the play equipment.....like I said SERIOUSLY!! After he wouldn't calm down and his pupils seemed to not be dialating properly I called the peditrician and they said to take him straight to the ER. (And no we did not pass go or collect 200 dollars...)
I called Jeff and headed off to the hospital...thanks goodness I was with GREAT Great friends who totally helped me! Seriously I am so lucky. I would have had a nervous breakdown...while I kind of did but that is besides the point.
By the time I got to the ER Sawyer was bouncing off the walls running around like a crazy person I seriously debated having him get checked out but knew that it would be for the best. Mission Hospital is seriously the greatest place on the planet!! They were so nice and sweet and had us in and out of there and even gave Sawyer the cutest little beenie baby "twigs" a giraffe that he hasn't stopped carrying around.

We left the hospital with a mild concusion and were told to wake him up every 2-3 hrs. to check on him...as I type this he running around and playing like no big deal.

Back to the drama....seriously I feel like my kids are the guiena pigs for the group they are always doing things and causing drama...(not that I want anyone else's kids to have the drama) but I am just DONE DONE!!!

I am so glad that this day is over now I can have a melt down....Really thanks to all my friends at the park who totally helped me to remain calm and not have a heart attack!!!

HELP!!!

Okay all you bloggers....Have any of you printed off a blog book with any company besides blurb? Blurb no longer supports blogger!!! Major bummer, I was in the middle of printing my book....so I am looking for another company or some way besides cutting and pasting my blog to blurb...seriously that would take another year!! Thanks for your help....does this count as my post today??? really I think I can do better than that...We are already having a morning around here.....poopy diapers (more than usual) GREEN snot, biting 15 trips to timeout...All before nin am. WOW it is going to be a long day. I think I will remain in my pj's and crawl back into bed!

Grandpa and Grandma could tell on Sunday that we were at our wits end. It was wonderful to be alone and have some time with my wonderful hubby. Seriously people this was MUCH needed!! We ate at a classic restaurant for us Tutto Fresco, it is a great Italian place where we went before prom YEARS ago!! It was great to head back there and reminisce about the last few years.....thanks for a great night out babe!!

He climbs.....

It's national blogging month and my friend Darci had heard of an idea to post everyday in November so I am going to do it...I LOVE to blog and think that this should be fun. So it should be interesting to see what I come up with to blog about this month!!

I took these pictures on Halloween....Sawyer is SUCH a climber and really I don't know what to do about it. Noah NEVER climbed so this is all new to me. This is what happened when Noah left the bathroom door open, Sawyer hopped right in and decided to brush his teeth and luckily I got to him before he found the tooth paste!!

One of Sawyer's favorite things to do is to climb onto the kitchen table and then dump whatever is on the table onto the floor. He does this while I am cooking dinner and for those of you who have been to my house know that I can not see anything from my kitchen this is why I love when it is lighter outside so I can watch them from the windows while I cook. Anyway perhaps one of his favorite things is to dump cups on the floor onto the carpet...thanks Sawyer apppreciate that one. Even today at the park (where we were for 4 hours) he climbed up one of the climbing things pretty much all on his own...really he is so much better at being sneaky...but just about the time I am about to scream he says "Hi Mommy" in his cutest sweetest voice...and literally it melts me heart. They are so fun!

So here is to blogging for a month straight...join me won't you!!!

Trunk or Treat

Thursday night was our wards trunk or treat we had it combined with another ward which makes for a little chaos. It was still fun but a lot of kids!! Noah finally understood the concept this year but half way through was asking to go back to the car to partake in his yummy treats. Jeff was such a good sport and stayed behind with the candy and Ryder while I took the other two around. I think my friends dropped off their candy to him because there was no where to park he was happy because I guess the 250 pieces of candy didn't last long!!

Sawyer had a costume change I put him in Noah's old Shark costume because his pluto costume makes him really hot, he ended up winning the costume contest. He looked so cute. He had a blast and was so well behaved because I had given him a tootsie pop to suck on while we walked around. We had a great time and the boys loved going around collecting candy!!!
