First of many......

I love pumpkin patches!! And I hope that this will be the first trip of many this fall. The boys had so much fun running around and picking up pumpkins. We got to ride the train around the park and the boys LOVED it. Jeff's mom read in the paper that the pumpkin patch was open and since we have like NO saturdays in October open we decided to head on over. Grandma Jody sat with Ryder while we took the other boys on the train....Sawyer sat there with his arms up and saying choo choo over and over again. It was so fun. We didn't stay too long because Noah was sick the day before so we really took it slow and were only there for a little while....still a great Saturday especially since the next three or four are already filled with activities!! Go to the Irvine Regional Park pumpkin patch it was SOOO awesome (noah speak). (click on the collage to make pictures bigger)

Bird Food.....

That is the perfect way to describe dieting to me....I hate diets. That is the one thing I LOVE about being pregnant is you can't diet nor should you. But after three kids in three years I have got some BABY weight to loose. I took the plunge this time and joined weight watchers. I have counted points on my own but really I NEED motivation this time. I have a lot to loose and need all the help I can get. So I joined and yesterday after my first meeting I felt so thrilled and excited. I came home from the meeting and told Jeff I almost cried...hello those meetings can be intense, it is like having your own group of 60 cheerleaders. I wasn't looking forward to the meeting and thought I would only join for a month or so. But I think it is really going to help me be accountable and keeep track. So if I can do it any of you can do it!! Here's to eating like a bird and working out like a horse...I hope chasing after three counts!!

Trapp Surf Shack......

Well after months and months or having the stuff but never doing it I FINALLY decorated the boys room!!! I should have been cleaning but I did all of this instead and now I am exhausted. Welcome to the Trapp Surf Shack....

Here is the view from the door...I know it is a little cramped but hopefully we can get rid of the crib soon.....I love the second sign on the wall, it is a dad throwing a kid in the air....to precious.....

I got Noah a bulletin board for all of his artwork he brings home from school.

I love having a big bed for Noah that means I get to snuggle with him....

This is Jeff's old dresser I really want to sand it and paint it black but who knows when...I love this lamp!!

Thanks Jody for helping me find stuff while I was on bed rest! And my parents for finding me more shark sheets and giving us the bunk beds!!

Also here are the glitter pumpkins...they were so easy and so fun!! I want to find more things to glitter up! Craft night anyone??

Disney Vaca

There are two new posts under this one, I have been a little behind and need to keep this up to date for my journal so here it goes....
We picked Jeff up after preschool and headed up to Disneyland for our annual trip with Grandpa Rich, Grandma Jody, Uncle Rob and Aunt Shannon. After checking in we went into California Adventure Noah rode California Soarin for the first time and loved it. After that we took Jeff on the new ride toy story...he did beat me but I was holding Ryder so in my mind I won!! It was REALLY hot so we just kind of walked around, I must say California Adventure is a very big bummer for people with little kids you have to 42" to ride on almost every ride so Noah just gets very mad because he can't go on anything. Grandpa and Grandma did find a cool place were the kids can run around and play on slides, the brother bear area...but those pictures will come later. We had dinner that night at Tortilla Joes in downtown disney and then Jody and I walked around while everyone else went to get on a few rides in Disneyland.
The next day we woke up early and headed into the park at nine...it was so nice to get in there and get on some of the rides we really never go on. Noah LOVED peterpan, he is going to be peter pan for Halloween so we bought him the hat there he wore it everywhere!! I have been wanting to get the boys mickey ears for a long time but I wanted to wait until they would actually keep them on. Noah loved them, Sawyer not so much. We also went to toon town you can go see mickey and minnies house, the boys loved running around and then at the end you get some one on one time with Mickey. Noah loved it Sawyer only from afar.

After a yummy lunch we headed back to the hotel to swim, they have such a cool pool and Noah and Saywer had a lot of fun. We had yummy dinner that night at the buffet and then headed back to Disneyland. Noah is obsessed with Thunder Mountain and drives us all crazy until we take him on it. He also rode spalsh mountain and space mountain for the first time. He is so fun I just love this age!! The next morning we went to the character breakfast at the hotel, not only is the food super yummy but the boys love meeting the characters, they come up to you at your table and also play little games with songs, it is so funny. Sawyer was afraid they were going to eat his food.

Oh and yes Ryder was with us but some how I did not get him in any of the pictures....but he loves disney as much as me he slept 6hrs the second night we were there, I was so grateful. This is such a fun trip and were so glad to spend time together and have so much fun. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

Sorry for all the posts...I am done for today atleast....

Eighteen Months

Then:

Now:

Sawyer turned the big 18 yesterday as in months....we actually snuck him into nursery last Sunday he goes in every other weekend while Jeff is in there so he knows what to do and fits in perfectly. He is such a funny little man. It just cracks me up how DIFFERENT he is from Noah. I truly believe that our children come to us in the order they are meant to. Noah was what I thought to be a high maintenance baby and then Sawyer was SO passive and now Ryder is VERY high maintenance. Here are some of the things Sawyer does that we love...
*he is so cuddly in the morning, he just wants to snuggle and be held.
*he talks so much it is so amazing some of his favorite words are; Daddy, Mommy, Noah, Baby, Outside, Banana, Cup. (he says a ton more but these he says the most)
*he climbs on EVERYTHING, he can now climb up the chair and onto the table and yes we have a high table
*he loves drawers and emptying their contents drives me NUTS
*he loves to eat any and all things, his favorite foods are chicken nuggets, strawberries, bananas, pasta, turkey and cheese
*he loves his binky or "B" as he calls it and HAS to have a bottle every night before bed, I know slacker mom but hey I just had a newborn.
*he loves any and all things that involve Noah
He is still at the fun throw a tantrum age but we love him so!!

Our Preschooler

So these are horrible pictures I am going to take new ones this week but still this child just may be the worst subject to photo.

Noah started preschool last Tuesday. He has been so excited about starting and could not wait to meet his new friends and teachers. He is JUST like me, on the first day he just walked right up with absolutely no fear or apprehension and loved every second. On Thursday he just walked right up to the kids and was like hi remember me...he is so friendly and LOVES his new school and his teachers and friends. The other day while we were driving home from Temecula he was talking talking talking talking and after five thousand questions I finally said I don't know Noah lets try to have some quiet time he then said in his sweetest voice but mom I like to talk. I had to laugh and simply answer I know Noah me too. Now I totally know what my parents and teachers went through....atleast my mother never cursed me I can't even imagine the child I would have gotten...thanks mom!

Taste of Mission Viejo.....

On Saturday the 13th we went down with Grandpa Rich and Grandma Jody to lake Mission Viejo for the annual taste of Mission Viejo. They have tons of food, live music and the playground. The boys had the best time playing on the playground. Noah is so friendly and plays so well with other kids that he doesn't even know.
There are way more pictures of Sawyer, Noah still won't pose for the camera....
Here is Sawyer playing on the playground...

Sawyer kept making a mad dash for the lake...this kid LOVES water.....

Love him......

Sawyer loved his rootbeer float.....

A fun time was had by all and we will definitly join in again next year!!

Two Months

I can't believe that Ryder is already two months...it is going by WAY TOO FAST!!! He is finally smiling which is so cute! He ahs become far less fussy...don't get me wrong he IS still fussy but we are getting more sleep which makes all of us a little happier. I still can't believe that I have THREE boys. They sure are fun but exhaust me a little more each day...Everyone tells me that three is the hardest I believe them. His brothers just love him and are always finding ways to steal a kiss.

Camp Trapp

I found this great shark tent at target for six dollars....the boys have LOVED playing in it! The first night Noah really wanted to sleep in it..although he ended up back in his bed. The next day Noah begged me to take it outside. The boys had so much eating their snack. It is so fun to listen to the conversations they have with eachother...it seriously makes me so happy to see how well they are playing together lately!!

It's Fall Y'All

That's right it is fall....okay well not officially but this week the weather has been slightly cooler....(I am sure it will get hot again)the kids are all back in school, not mine but I have the reminder by all the high school kids ;parking in my neighborhood, all the stores are putting out the long sleeves. And here I am wishing that it was oct. so I can put up my Halloween decorations...I am pulling out the pumpkin and cute fall leaves tonight but I am ready to fully decorate...I LOVE the holidays! Finally I have a baby who will be little enough for all those cute holiday outfit and you better believe he will have a few for each holiday. I can't wait!! I know I am a total nerd but it is the simple things in life that bring a smile to my face....Noah starts preschool next week and I don't know who is more excited him or me!! I can't wait to go shopping this weekend....this kid grows like a weed...his shirts are getting too short, his tennis shoes don't fit with socks. And of course he needs a back pack!! I always loved back to school shopping and now I get to do it with my kids yay!!!
I Have found some great ideas for fall decorating and I am going to put them to work and then I will post pics!!
I really want to make the glitter pumpkins at the top of this post...I will be working on those in the next few weeks...thanks Martha Stewart for a fabulous idea and cheap!!

Other things to love about fall....pumpkin patches, dark earlier, no lines at disneyland...finally!! Pumpkin breads, bars, muffins...mmm I just found a fabulous recipe online...but i will share that later. Chili and taco soup. Football games for Jeff and BBQing for me. Decorating, sweaters, pants, cute shoes, fires, hot chocolate, rain. Really the list goes on but I will spare you all.

Happy Fall Y'all

Sleeping

I love my boys, I love them even more when they are sleeping. They look so cute and cuddly and I just want to pick them up and give them a squeeze. I am not one of those mom's who picks up sleeping angels to snuggle...they would never go back to sleep...but I do take the opportunity to steal kisses and stroke their sweet innocent faces. After all they are boys and I am sure it won't always be so easy to steal a kiss. So here are some sleeping shots of my babies....who doesn't love a sleeping photo op! I know I do!!

Also yesterday we went to the Spectrum, and as always we stop at the pet store. I am not an animal lover but they had like four baby weiner dogs and I found myself begging Jeff to get one...what? I know I have a newborn but these sweet little puppies faces melted my heart. When we get home Noah started pretending to be a puppy him and Sawyer were fighting over the bowl I placed on the floor for them...I guess I already have my puppies!!

Blessed

We had a great weekend.....On Sunday Ryder was blessed at church. Jeff did such a good job, he was a little nervous given how much Ryder cries when he was awake. But he did good too and only let out a few cries. I did not get pictures like I wanted outside the church it was just too hard trying to get back and do food. But I got a few not one of Ryder alone we may have to try and get some another day. It was a great day and so nice to have such wonderful family support....My boys have such great examples all around them Ryder had 16 people in his circle and for those who know the Neilsons they are very tall people....I think we took over the ward. It was so great....and we feel so blessed that Ryder is doing so well, things could have been a lot worse for him and I am just so glad that he is a healthy normal boy!! And he is even getting less fussy....YAY!!! Thanks again all those who came and supported us!!

But still I couldn't help it but record their cuteness...and yes they are saying STEP!!! The new kids are looking a little old...maybe Noah and Sawyer could join and give them a little youth to their act....oh and there new song stinks...they should really stick with old school good stuff!

Snake

Ryan and Missy have a pet snake....really I should say Ryan. Noah is obsessed with it, he always asks me to look at pictures ontheir blog of the snake. Yesterday after the blessing Ryan and Missy had to run home, and they asked if they could take Noah with them for a visit with the snake. Noah went along...rare for him to go anywhere without Jeff or I but I guess the prospect of finally meeting the snake eased the seperation anxiety. Missy knowing my crazy blogging obsession even thought to take pictures!! Thanks Missy!! Noah LOVED the snake and was telling everyone at the party that he got to touch the red snake...as you can see I don't think it is really red. Noah had a great time and even told Jeff again all about his snake visit before he went to bed last night. Jeff said that he would rather have a snake than a dog...I say dog...I don't do snakes...we once had a pet snake that I caught as a kid get loose in the house for a few weeks....eeew and we won't be getting a snake or dog anytime sooon. Thanks Ryan and Missy for making Noah's snake dreams come true!!
