Open House

We had a great time at Noah's very first Open House!! He had so much fun showing us all over his classrooom and all the things he has had fun doing this year. Noah has had a rough start this year. I am sad that he truly hates school. I am hoping over the summer we can find some things that can make it a bit more fun for him. He has such a LONG school career ahead and I really want him to do well and enjoy it.

Here he is with his teacher.......he keeps doing this fake smile in EVERY picture. Grrr drives me crazy!!

By far the highlight was the slide show the teacher had put together. He loved seeing himself and his friends.

Before Open house we met Jeff and In-N-Out for dinner. I realized I had dressed the boys all in monkey shirts so I had to get a picture. I love Paul Frank tee's on the boys!!

'

Some day they will give me a decent picture!

4 more days of school I am so excited for summer!!! (Yes I am sure that will only last a week)

Noah's School Christmas.....

On Friday Noah had his first singing program at school. He was so excited about it and was talking about for weeks. He invited my mom, Jeff's mom and Aunt Patrice. He was so excited he even told his teacher that they all came. The program was hilarious they songs lots of songs the best part was when the two classes got off on there parts and it was almost like a round. We were busting up.
They also had a book exchange.....it was pure chaos.....Noah's class is really boy heavy and the boys were going nuts......we had to have a little talk about gifting when Noah didn't like the book he ended up with.....luckily he wasn't the only one. Noah's class has all the kids with food allergies so it is VERY stressful to find stuff for the parties. My friend Lisa told me about an idea of decorating sugar cones to look like Christmas trees. It was a huge hit the parents loved it and no one had any allergic reactions.......thank goodness!!!

My mom was nice enough to take the little boys home so I could stay and help with the party. It was nice to spend some time with him and not have to worry about them at home!

Getting kicked out of the nest......

The eternal summer finally ended! Monday I kicked my baby bird
out of our little nest and into the big bad world.
I can't even believe how big he is. I held it together at school.
It was a VERY surreal experience.

Due to CRAZY budget cuts this year the poor teachers weren't
even allowed into there classrooms until the morning of school.
So there was no meet and greet and no time for the teacher to
even introduce herself. Noah's school is trying something
different this year because enrollment is SO high.

There are 6 Kindergarten classes. Each class will have 35 students
the first two weeks they are all together. After the first two
weeks they will divide the class into early bird late bird half will
come from 8-11 and the other half will come10-1.

These amazing teachers have to assess all the 35 students in these next two
weeks so they can configure the classes.
So it felt like he was literally ripped from my womb.
It is still freaking me out that I haven't had a chance to talk with
the teacher. I am REALLY looking forward to back to school night
next week. I can't wait to get in there and help as MUCH as I can.

I feel SO bad for these poor teachers and all that they are having to deal with.
I don't know how Mrs. Meyers can assess and take care of 35 kids.
They are AMAZING!!!
Noah went right in without another thought. He is so good that way.
He is enjoying his new class and his teacher Mrs. Meyers.
He apparently is 1 of 3 Noah's in his class. Poor kid.
I realize I sound like a crazy control freak. I am just so used to having it done a certain
way so school is definitely going to take some getting to used to.
I just can't wait for this next week and hopefully we can get into a new schedule and routine!

First Day of School 2009

Noah LOVES his preschool. He has been looking forward to going back for weeks! Unfortunately he missed his first day because he was recovering from our trip. He was so excited to go! He picked out his new Superman shirt and of course his "checkers" as he calls him he loves his new slip on vans.

I was hoping to get a few pictures once we got to school but he ran straight to the back yard and never looked back. I barely got a kiss goodbye. He was so happy to get back and see a lot of his old friends from last year and meet a few new friends.

He is such a social friendly little guy. I just love my Noah he is getting so big and it KILLS me that he will be in elementary school next year!
Tomorrow he was asked to bring a picture of his car he drives to school in.....he wanted to stand next to it!

Noah also got to go on a day date with Aunt Lisa today....he hasn't stopped talking about it. He was so happy when he went to bed and had a fabulous time. Thanks Aunt Lisa for making him feel extra special!!!!

Grandma Jody brought over these baseball jammies....I had to take pictures of my matchy boys....they are so fun.

Even though they keep me super super busy I am so grateful for this time with them. These first four years as a mom has gone by so quickly I am sure when they are all in school I am going to wish I could be at home with them all day. I love being a mommy to these cute little men....I never thought I would be a mom to all boys but lately I can't imagine having it ANY other way!

Not such a chub chub.....

So all along I have been thinking that Ryder was this chubby baby. Really he has ton's of rolls. But today he had his six month check up here are the stats:

Weight: 16 even (25%)

Height: 25 3/4 (25%)

Head: 17 (25-30%)

So he is not such chubby baby. The dr. did give me a little grief about not feeding him food yet. I mean no big deal but apparantely between 5 and 7 months you have a short window to teach them to eat properly or something. Really I have never heard this but I also have never not fed my babies food at four months. So we got on track tonight with sweet potatoes and rice cereal he was in love.

So three shots later and the rotovirus vaccine. Plus cutting two teeth at the moment. Gotta love being a parent.
The dr. also thinks he has really bad allergies because he has been so stuffed up for two months and nothing has developed (luckily)

I just love him it was absolutely precious he was giving the cutest little faces to the nurse right up until she stuck him and then he gave her the saddest look, she was like that was one of the worst faces I have ever seen. But he is happily resting now so hopefuly we aren't in for too long of a night!

Noah started speech today. It was a VERY interesting experience. Not bad just slightly frustrating. I have a really lame schedule and maybe I am selfish but it just seems like way too much work for 2 half hour sessions a week. Jeff says he needs it. Really I already think that him being in preschool has helped him soo much so I say bag it. We will see how this battle goes. But I must say going to this elementary school and dealing with all this drama has kind of made me question the school system....I think I get why people home school. Not that I am getting ANY ideas but I am just not ready for all of this.
