Finding joy in the journey isn't always easy especially as a mom you truly are always on. There are days when I literally lock myself in the bathroom for five minutes just to breathe and chant I love my kids. I loved President Monson's talk in Sunday mornings session of General Confrenc, about finding joy in the journey. I agree. I think too often we, (meaning me) get caught up in the seemingly never ending journey and forget completely about the joy. Having three boys three and under is a journey and when I actually sit and stop for a split second I can think of the joy.
Oh the joy....instead of wishing I didn't have a 3 year old shadow 90% of my day, I should find the joy in the simple fact that in a short time I will be begging him to sit next to me and give me a snuggle, hugkiss.
Joy...when Sawyer empties the contents from the trash rummaging for food, yes he does get fed. Joy...when Ryder cries for twenty minutes, but as I soon as I pick him up he stops doesn't matter to him that I am trying to cook dinner...JOY.
Joy...that I have a loving husband who helps me helps me A LOT.(even when I don't deserve it most of the time.)
My kids are funny most of the time when they are doing something naughty it is actually totally funny and I have to try not and laugh. Joy that I get the opportunity to live life all over again through childs eyes, the pure amazement across there faces is a treausre...and a lot of JOY. I need to remember that remember that although it is a journey and at times not an easy one there is a lot of JOY and I should feel grateful. I just needed a little reminder...

What a great post! I loved that talk too. It was a great reminder!
Being a mom is so strange because it is the best job ever and the hardest job ever. You are so great with your boys...they are lucky to have such a fun, cool mom. We will remind each other to find joy in the journey:)
Ditto, except for the rummaging in the trash part. We really are the same person *Supermom*
