Home Sweet Home!!!

Well we got to bring Ryder home yesterday!! It was so nice to leave the hospital and I really hope to not have to go back there! They were super nice and all but I am just so glad to have my sweet boy home.

We are missing Sawyer we sent him to Grammy and Grampy's for the weekend while he recovers from a cold. I know he is getting spoiled rotten and loving having all the attention....but I am anxious for him to come to us. We had a great first night home, Noah just loves him and likes to help me with whatever I am doing for him.

Update.....

Well I came home yesterday....unfortunately without Ryder. He is being monitored for a few more days. He was having a little bit of trouble with acid reflux which was causing his heart rate to drop and making him stop breathing a little bit. They put him on medicine and he has been doing much better and is eating GREAT. He is also jaundice, they have him on the lights which makes me feel a little bit better not being able to be there 24/7. We really can only hold him during feedings, so we are heading down to the hospital as much as we can to hold him and feed him. If he continues to not have any more spells of not having to be stimulated to breathe he should be able to come home Friday or Saturday. It was really hard to not bring him home with us but as it turns out Sawyer has croup so it is probably best that we get him better so that Ryder can come to a safe and clean house. We really appreciate all the phone calls, emails, texts. We really feel loved by so many and really feel so blessed. So many people have offered to help and we just feel so grateful, we wish there was more to be done but really it is a waiting game and just hope it will all be over soon so we can all be under one roof together. Thanks again!!

He's here......

Ryder Shaw Trapp was born on Friday evening...he weighed 5lbs 5oz and is 19 inches long. He is doing great....he will have to be in the NICU for a few days given him being born so early.....35 weeks and 2 days. He looks great and we are loving our new little guy. I am feeling a little better today....they have had me on some really nasty medications to get rid of the blood pressure issues from delivery. So expect more posts and losts of pics....we just love our new little guy!!!

DOODLECRACK....

The obesession actually started about two years ago in this household. It was the only show I could get Noah to sit through long enough to shower.....and now Sawyer is OBSESSED....seriously it is bad and he is so little. I am a horrible mother and allow him to watch it hours on end. It has even sparked his new nickname...Sawyerbop...thanks Grammy. Seriously it is a very very bad show...your kids will become obsessed. Don't start. I will say it is darn cute when they dance with their little guitar ontop of the train table. But don't give into the crack it could be deadly. Noah even protests now and says no more doodlecrack...now that is sad. I hope once I am off bedrest we will get back to life...but then I remember we will be playing a whole new ball game...for now I will settle for the not so mother of the year award...a happy fifteen month old.

The Fourth.....

We had a very relaxing nice and low key fourth. This is the first year in a long time that we were not with the Trapp's for Trapp week. Me being stuck on the couch didn't work to well for that.
We spent most of the day just hanging out at home, together which was nice. We went over to Grandpa Rich's and Grandma Jody's for a BBQ and to watch fireworks. Uncle Dave and Aunt Heidi came down which was nice because Noah just loves Taylee and David. And well all of Jeff's cousins. We had a very relaxing day by the pool and then ate LOTS of yummy food. The highlight for me was watching fireworks, it was so nice to sit on the balcony and watch like 10 different shows going on. It was just so nice to not have to carry anyone, fight traffic or deal with the millions of people out and out. It was VERY nice. Sawyer really enjoyed the fireworks and even ooohed and aaahed. Noah was bored after about ten minutes. Noah did enjoy shooting off the little confettie poppers with the help of Jon and Karilyn.

Filling our Days.....

Sorry for the over abundance of posting lately but I am SO bored and this takes up my many many hours on the couch or lying on my left in bed. I have had to go to the dr. everyday this week to be monitored....so that does take out a little of time from the day. My blood pressure and blood work show toxcemia...so they started giving me shots today to help stregthen Ryder's lungs since he will most likely come before or at 35 weeks. I have new appreciation for my poor babies when they get shots....seriously I got it in the butt....and it still hurts. I don't want to go back tomorrow. I think I may cry the next time I have to take the boys in...it hurt that much.

So enough about me....and my sob story. The boys are handling it all great and between Grammy and Grandma Jody they are being spoiled rotten. I think they may be loving this. On Tuesday Grammy came down and brought the boys a fun toy to play outside with the hose...they had so much fun and did it again today. Grandma Jody got Noah and Sawyer a little pool to play in also and they love it. I managed to take a few pictures when we were there this past weekend. Jeff has been great at taking care of us and we hope that this can all be over soon and Ryder can be healthy.

: Good Friends :

Last night a few of my friends took me out to Claim Jumper for a little baby shower for Ryder. It was so nice to get out off of my couch and spend a night out with the girls. I LOVE these girls....I have been so fortunate to have made such great friends. They help me to feel like a normal mom.....they understand mommy days and appreciate a good night out! They have all been so great calling to check on me while I have been on bed rest, offering to take the boys places and coming to keep me company. I love that I could call any of them and they would be able to help in a moments notice and I know my kids would be perfectly safe and have a great time because they are such fun moms!! Thanks girls for an awesome night.....I can't wait for the next night out!!!
