Beach Picnic

A few Sundays ago we went to Jeff's cousin Cameron's missionary farwell. Church was at 9 so we had the whole day left to be together. We thought it would be fun to take the boys down to the beach and have a picnic for dinner. We went to Aliso Creek beach which we love, great close flat parking plus they have a park which was good because it was FREEZING and the boys were happy to just be at the beach! A rare family picture.........it was a fun afternoon evening. Even though we didn't last long. It has been a very mild summer so far.

We are looking forward to many more beach picnics!

Leo 2010

We just got home Monday night from Leo Carrillo. This was one of the best years we have had in a VERY long time the weather was spectacular. It was even warm at night.

Jeff and I on the beach. Jeff only got to stay for a day. I was sad for him to go home but busy season calls...

Crazy that 10 years ago Jeff and I had our very first kiss at Leo Carrillo. It will always hold a very special place in my heart!! I was trying so hard to take a picture of Sawyer.....to prove he was there....

The boys loved climbing the rocks one time Sawyer gave me a huge scare and I had to haul up the rocks after him. Thank goodness for all those rock climbing trips as a kid.

It is so crazy 10 years ago we were all teenagers and now we have tons of kids. It is so much fun to see my kids playing with kids I grew up with!!

Tyson took all the 5 year olds on a hike up the creek with his brave helpers Matt, Holli and Tyler. Noah had the best time and loved it. He was very proud to tell all his friends at school.

Family Weekend!

Phew I am exhausted! We had a VERY fun and busy weekend! On Saturday Grammy and Grampy came down to watch Noah's soccer game. This was actually the third game. I think it is so funny to watch. Noah is a crack up. The first game he was playing and was all upset he kept trying to pick up the ball finally he grabbed and brought it over to Jeff on the sideline, he didn't want the kids to use his ball! It was really funny and I still laugh. Later in that game he just walked off and sat down and was like I am done. But Saturday he was tired so he just sat in the middle of the field. He is such a funny guy. Soccer makes him so exhausted after every game he has taken a three hour nap! Score for Mom and Dad!


After the game we took my parents down to San Clemente to get my Dad some Rainbow sandals. We had some lunch and then went down to the pier to walk around. The boys think that the pier was so fun!





There were these HUGE Pelicans hanging out on the pier trying to grab peoples fish while they were fishing.

After nice long naps we took the boys out front to ride bikes, Noah is FINALLY getting the hang of his big bike. We tried to contain Ryder by setting him on a bike too. It didn't last long. This kid refuses to walk and it is driving me bananas!!



Ryders favorite thing to do around the house it to pull EVERYTHING off the book shelf. A few times this week Jeff came home to this. I got sick of putting it back so I just waited until he went to bed!

But seriously who could get mad at that face.....

And finally yesterday we went to Temecula to go and see the newest Rath boy. Anderson Levi was born on Friday! Cari is AMAZING she did it with absolutely NO drugs. My mom called my like at 1 and said her water broke and she was going to the hospital. The next phone call was around 3 that she was starting to push and he was here about 3:30! So crazy!

Congratulations Sam and Cari! He is such a doll! I am not going to lie for a split second this made me want to have one, then after hearing the birth story and seeing the utter exhaustion that comes from a new baby I am happy to say I think I am MORE than happy with my three crazy boys!

Beach Days!

The last two Saturdays we have been heading to the beach. The boys love it and have so much fun playing in the white wash. Ryder enjoys eating every rock, piece of seaweed he can find. So nasty!
Ryder crawls so fast when headed to the water. Last Saturday we went with the Rice's to the beach so Jeff and David could surf. I think Jeff had fun....he wants to go again. He hadn't surfed in atleast 11 years!

This little girl was so cute she would swim out with her board and then her dad would put her up and she would ride the wave all the way in. It was the cutest thing!!!



On Monday night Jeff had to show some houses so we went to Grandma and Grandpa's so that we could swim and have family night. I had wanted to talk to the boys about pioneers but we mostly just made ice cream in a bag. The boys had fun shaking it. Actually putting it in a food storage can proved to be much faster.


Yesterday Jeff said he wanted to go down to San Clemente. I knew if we were heading all that way we were going to stop at the rainbow outlet. I finally got new brown rainbows. I even found Noah a really cute blue pair! Love Rainbows!!!

Once at the beach the boys were so sad when they couldn't really get in.....the waves were HUGE. I have never seen them that big before. Jeff was sad bc he wanted to boogie board. But there was no way. The life guards wouldn't even let the kids get in and swim. only playing on the shore. SCARY. It was entertaining watching the crazy surfers and the lone body boarder. Such dare devils!

The last few nights this is what we have found when going to bed. These two just love each other. If I am punishing one the other runs in and mumbles something about being brothers. They are so fun. I can't wait for Ryder to join in....oh wait I can wait!!!!
