5. Finally a new washer and dryer that actually fists more than two pairs of pants!!

10 months

January 1 Rhys turned 10 months I can't get over it. He is getting SO big. It just kills me!

So here are 10 things about Rhys this month.
1. Rhys loves to EAT! He prefers foods he can eat himself. Some of his favorites are: waffles, rice, black beans, shredded chicken, bananas, in n out cheeseburgers, fries and gold fish.

2. He has 5 teeth

3. Pretty much only likes to sleep in his crib.

4. Loves to play patty cake and clap.

5. Weighs 17 pounds

6. Got croup after Christmas and had to have his first antibiotics

7. Screams bloody murder every time I leave a room or walk past him. (I'm rather sick of this one. Especially when I am trying to pack!!)

8. Loves to play with any kind of paper. But his favorite is trying to eat diaper wipes.

9. Still sucks his thumb

10. Sleeps from 8-6 and pretty much takes 3 naps a day.

Rhysy is Getting to such a fun age. I can't believe he is almost 1! So crazy.

A year of instagram

I am taking the photo a day challenge through instagram. I will be taking a photo a day. And then posting them here on the blog once a week. It's been fun to see what we do on a daily basis. So here are week one's photos:

1: yummy cinnamon French toast new years morning. 2: three weeks of sickness first strep then a sinus infection then bronchitis. 3 prescriptions 2 breathing treatments and an inhaler. Ugh3. Cast off!! Still building up strength in his leg. But happy to have that super smelly thing off!4. In n Out with Daddy for lunch a rare treat!

More Christmas

Does any one else absolutely HATE Blogger these days?! It is horrible!!

Finally I pulled the pictures off my big camera. And so for the whole two of you who read this. Here are the rest. And if blogger didn't suck so bad I would go through and journal them. But since it won't let me and it has deleted them 4 times. This is it. So feel free to add in your own Whitty commentary. Because I know you are missing Mine :)

Changes!

A few weeks ago Jeff called me to tell me he had a job interview with an accounting firm in Murrieta. Neither of us thought very much of. For the last 5 years Jeff has applied for a lot of jobs and non of them went anywhere. Well we were shocked when after a second interview Jeff was offered a job.

Back story: we have been trying to buy a house around here for six months. We have put in many offers and nothing has panned out.
Once we decided we were probably going to take the job we went out to Temecula to look at possible houses.

I have had my eyes on these amazing homes in Paseo Del Sol for about a year now. I told Jeff they were my dream homes. So when we walked through the models and the lady told us they had one that just fell out of escrow the day before and would be ready in January we couldnt help but say YES!

So here it is.....

The house is amazing! It is at the end of a culdesac on a HUGE lot!!! The people who were in the process of buying it did a ton of upgrades. I got to go last week and pick out the flooring. It has been such a fun process!! I can't wait to start the whole move!!

It is very bitter sweet to leave Orange County. I have SO many amazing friends whom I am sick about leaving. But with how quickly everything has fallen into place we know that the Lord is steering us in this next chapter in our life.

January is going to be an insane whirlwind. Packing, commuting, and moving. But we are truly blessed to be starting off 2012 with such a bang!!

A New Year!!

Every New Years we go to my Grand parents and have a BIG bash. This year we opted to stay home. Jeff will be driving back and forth so much we just wanted a mellow night. We were so sick for the last few weeks that we needed to rest up!!

Finally Rhys was smiling.....he has been so sick for DAYS! This was a happy smile!

Breakfast new years eve morning.

We went over to Jeff's Mom's. It was nice to get out. And the boys had so much fun.

It's Christmas Time Again

We had a wonderful stressful Christmas. For the first time since we have been married we went to Temecula for Christmas Eve. We started the day with the Neilsons. Heidi and Dave hosted 70+ at the church. It was a great place to have a party! It was great to see almost all of Jeff's cousins we hardly ever get to see the married ones!!

After that we went to Cari and Sam's to be with my family we got to Skype with my grand parents and the boys got to play with there cousins!!

Santa Visit

Early in December we took the boys to see Santa. I love this tradition we have a picture every year with the boys and Santa. I love how excited they are about the holidays!

While the cats away....

While I was in Utah Noah had a little accident on the trampoline.
He pretty much had his leg buckle on him and caused him to break his ankle at the growth plate. Luckily it was only a 2 on a 5 point scale so it won't be too bad of a recovery.

He has to have a cast for 4 weeks. The first few days Noah was lying around which is so not like him. That is what had me convinced that it was broken :( he is a trooper and has learned to get around just fine with one good leg.

My Love Hate relationship with Christmas Break....

Well mostly hate with a teeny tiny bit of love.
I LOVE no schedules, hanging out in my PJ's until noon. That's where the love ends.

I hate the week before Christmas break part the most. I mean really I have almost let them open a present just so they will stop asking me every 2.5 seconds when it will be Christmas day. This week pretty much puts me right out of that Christmas spirit.

And then there is the sickness, kleenex, snot, headache oh and let's not forget the teething baby.

Each day I have big plans for fun but the above wear me out fast. So here is the last day I have to deal with the kids alone tomorrow starts Jeff's 4 day weekend! Wahoo!
The plan is to park it up even though there is pretty much a tornado outside. But the tornado inside is SO much worse.

Girls Weekend

My Christmas present came early this year in the form of a girls weekend. When I originally told Jeff of my plan I thought he would say yeah right but to my SHOCK he was like go for it! So the tickets were booked and I followed Jenn and Cailyn to Utah. We had an amazing time. It was so wonderful to not have to take care of anyone but myself. And sleep oh glorious sleep! I was in heaven!!

I haven't been to Utah in almost 7 years. It was so fun to go! I loved seeing the lights on Temple square!

We also found this AMAZING wood craft store. Seriously I was in heaven!! If you live in Utah you absolutely must go visit the wood connection in Midvale!!

It was so much fun I am so lucky that Jenn and Cailyn let me crash there mother daughter trip!

It was SO cold. Seriously I am such a whiney California girl!

One of the highlights was the festival of trees seriously a Christmas lovers dream come true! A great way to get into the spirit!

We also went to see White Christmas at BYU it was so great!
I am so ready for another girls trip it was so much fun! Thanks Jeff and my parents for making it happen!!

Santa's Little Helper

Rhys is nine months old as of December 1st.

Rhys was a GREAT sport while mom made him do a little photo shoot.

Some things about Rhys.....

-Has 2 teeth on the bottom. Working on a few more

-HATES baby food....LOVES people food. He has really loved to eat whatever we are eating this month. His favorites are waffles, cheeseburgers, turkey, noodles and cheese. If I let him eat something he can do himself he will let me feed him a jar of food.

-HATES when you leave a room and don't take him with you!

- SCREAMS when he doesn't get what he wants.....we are all a little over this one.

-LOVES to sit and play with toys

-SLEEPS through the night. He usually goes down around 7:30 or 8:00 and sleeps until about 6:00

We love you Rhys-y!!!

Thanksgiving!!

I did it! we put on our first Thanksgiving in our married life. I wanted to take some pressure off my mom who always does so much and I wanted to give her a little break so I offered to have Thanksgiving.

We invited Jody and Rich and Rob, Shannon and Kaitlyn. It was a little stressful but now that I know what to do I feel like next time I will have a much better handle on it.

I found some great recipes that were a huge hit!!

Halloween

Halloween as always is so busy and fun. The boys are at such awesome ages they really get into everything and have so much fun. It has made the holidays so exciting!!

Ryder was a pirate, Noah a skeleton that I hand painted for 6+ hours!! Rhys a lion and Sawyer started out as a ghost and then ended up as batman.

We celebrated with our wards Trunk or Treat and then we went to my parents ward's Trunk or Treat and then trick or treating around our neighborhood. Talk about sugary OVERLOAD.......ugh I am so sick of candy!!

I'm back folks!!! Did you miss me? I have never been so far behind. Sheesh. So stressful. So here we go.....Michael man had his farwell the end of October. He gave an amazing talk and we had a great time partying it up at Cari and Sam's after. I can't believe how grown up he is Oklahoma is going to love him!!!

Pumpkin City

The week before Halloween Jenn and I took the kids to Pumpkin City. It was so much fun for the kiddos. I had a blast taking some ADORABLE pumpkin pictures of Rhys. I love that we have pictures of each of our kids here when the were babies! I love a cute pumpkin picture!!!

Morgan Family October

Every October my family does a weekend camping trip. We kind of laugh because we see each other all the time but it is a great for the kiddos. It is a ton of work but worth it. We went to San Clemente it was a perfect weekend. We rarely ever stay and usually just go down for the day but this year we decided to stay both nights. The boys LOVED it. I will say it was one of our better camping experiences. Thanks to Jenn for the super comfy Aero bed.

Besides not getting any sleep because Rhys was cutting his first teeth. But other than that it was great! Missing Grandpa and Grandma who are on there mission in DC.

Pumpkin patch

The best thing about summer ending is it means FALL. I love fall.

We headed on our first pumpkin patch outing a few weeks ago. We can't wait to go back when they have more pumpkins!!

Michael man got his mission call!! He will be leaving in November to serve in the Tulsa Oklahoma mission!! I am so proud of him. He has been through a lot and it has been so amazing to witness his change of heart and watch his testimony grow.

Back to school!

The boys started school in September. They were so excited to get back and I was even more excited to have some sort of routine.

We have started a tradition of letting the boys choose what they want to have for breakfast on the first day of school. Sawyer chose cinnamon rolls and Noah chose blueberry pancakes..,, although he quickly decided he doesn't like real blueberries in his pancakes :).

Sawyer right before he flipped out. It was the weirdest thing he went to this school last year and was talking about it for weeks but freaked out screaming running away from the teacher and climbing through the car window. Yeah. CRAZY. Finally he calmed down and with the promise of McDonalds and a light saber he went. Thankfully he has been fine since!!

Ryder is so sad to not be doing anything he is completely potty trained and asks everyday when he can go to school. It is so sweet.

We really lucked out for Noah this year he got an amazing teacher. He is working so hard and loving going which is a huge step forward after last year. He has a lot of catching up from not having a great teacher last year but thankfully he has a wonderful teacher and aid who are able to pull him and the 4 other kids who were in his class last year an help them. It is so sad that they have to do that but we are so grateful for a wonderful start!

You know it's been awhile.....

Wow poor neglected blog.. Seriously you know it's been awhile when you download thousands of pictures. Not to mention I got on blogger and I don't even recognize it. YIKES!!!
So rather than do a bunch of posts here is a little Trapp summer recap. Keep in my mind I did not take any pictures....really I was sad with how many memories we missed. Boo.

Well first things first The Bachelorette season finale party.....this was the first EVER and might I say it was fabulous......We had cocktails and appetizers and of course roses and engagement rings.

Thanks Cari for all your help! Of course you had to dress up in your cocktail attire. I have the best friends!!! I am Chris Harrison the host if you didn't catch that. I had made promises to wear my wedding dress but nursing baby kind of ruined that one. Next time. And yes I said next time.

Drooly baby seriously this is how Rhys looks at the end of EVERY day. I am just waiting waiting for him to pop a tooth up but nope still just drool and chewing.

In August we took our trip with the Heaton/Trapp crew down to San Diego. It was a great trip thanks Rich and Jody. By far my favorite thing was watching the boys play so sweet with Kaitlyn they love her!

First stop Sea World......

Next stop the beach. Uncle Rob dug to water the kids had a blast playing in the gian hole.

On Sunday before heading home we stopped again at the mormon batallion we just love that place!!!

More next time! I am almost caught up!!

Is summer over yet?

Someone please remind me why I was so anxious for school to get it WAY back in June??

Here I sit at the the end of August cursing the very thought of still having two and a half weeks left!

My children have sucked the fun right out of these last few weeks.

Each day starts out the same I pray and pray that I can find the joy and be happy to have them home. I know someday I will be wishing for it.....somehow I really doubt that but so I have been told.

The whining the talking back the rolling of the eyes....seriously when did three year olds learn to do that? Oh and the fighting I am so DONE!!

Add a baby who really needs some kind of schedule FAST!!

Please someone tell me I am not the only one who feels this way?!!!!

Potty training stinks.....literally

I really hate the whole potty training process. In fact I loathe it. I have tried various approaches with each child trying my best to cater to there individual personality needs.

Then there is Ryder and this is how he feels about potty training......

And yes I absolutely feel the same way. Today we started the dreaded task and it was bad......REALLY bad. We didn't have any success. Not a one. Instead we went through about 15 pairs of underwear one that ended up in the trash. I don't do poop in underwear. I just don't.
I sat with him for an hour and a half in the bathroom and finally the teeniest tiniest pee happen. I celebrated big candy the works. So I let him leave the bathroom. Then what does the stinker do ....pee's on the floor. Such a little stinker.
At this point I would love to just throw a diaper on him but I am way more stubborn then him. Game on little boy game on.

Why my baby needs to stay 4 months forever...

I love me a newborn. It is by far my favorite stage. Especially Rhys he is so happy and cuddly I get so sad that he is growing up. And yes he turned 4 months way back on the first of July.

He is now 13 pounds which is still only the 10% for his age but considering where he started the Dr. isn't worried. He has been cleared to start solids but he is sleeping and growing just fine so I haven't started. Again I want him to be a baby forever.

If he could stay like this forever that would be fine by me :)

Hilarious

Sawyer is the funniest/spunkiest/stubborn kid on the planet. Is spunkiest even a word??

He keeps me on my toes every single day and now that him and Ryder are best buds we have major TROUBLE.

Some funny things I want to remember.

-he cut his hair in the above picture so he could look like his brothers and Dad. I miss his red locks.

- after cutting his hair he didn't want to take a shower bc that would wash off his baldy (that's what he calls his new do)

- when he gets hot he puts sunscreen on he says it helps cool him off.

- loves to sing. And makes up songs and talks in a singing voice a lot of the time.

- we bought him a new hat to wear bc he gets so fried and he told me he couldn't wear it bc he looked like a grandpa and none of his friends would like him or recognize him.

Ah that boy. Such a character in every way!!

4th of July

The 4th was spent lounging for the week with the Trapp's in Newport.

Of course it wouldn't be complete with out completely cheesy matching outfits and a photo shoot.

Some how we were able to talk Leslie into joining us again this year. What am I going to do next year when she leaves for college?? I can't believe how much easier it is with three sets of hands!!!

Golden Birthday.....

Jeff turned 29 on the 29th of June. Finally closing the age gap and making us the same age again.

Jeff's birthday almost always gets the shaft. being that it is all wrapped up in anniversary, fathers day and trapp week celebrations. I try every year to make it a BIG deal but usually it is an epic fail. But we do what we can.

Jeff sure is awesome and I am so lucky to call him mine and to have him.

I am going to make this year as GOLDEN as possible for him!!

Getaway? Yes Please!

My amazing wonderful parents have been taking the three older boys once a month over night so Jeff and I can have a night off and regroup a bit. It has been such an amazing blessing for us!! Usually we just stay home and enjoy the quiet.
But last month Jeff asked me if I wanted to go to Palm Springs for the night. He found a great deal at Embassy Suites in Palm Desert.
We jumped on it and headed out.

The drive out there never gets old to me. I love the wind mills.

Rhys was the BEST traveler. He enjoyed the quiet as much as we did! Jeff and were laughing we took Ryder on a weekend trip when he was the same age. He was awful. Rhys is so mellow!!

Hot hot hot!!

We went to dinner at out favorite mexican place Las Cansuelas so so yummy!!

After dinner we roamed the book store and went to the movies to see X Men. It was entertaining. After we treated ourselves to dessert. And walked around the mall.

We got a great night sleep. The next morning we enjoyed a yummy breakfast at the hotel and then we attempted to sit by the pool. It was super warm so we headed back to the room to enjoy the AC.

On our way home we decided to stop and take pictures of the dinosaurs from the movie the Wizard. The boys love that movie and got a kick out of it.

Lastly on our way home we stopped at the outlets for some shopping. After years of searching I got a coach purse for super super cheap!!

It was a great quick getaway. We are so lucky to have my wonderful parents!!

Whipped Cream Fight!

Some friends in our ward host a whipped cream fight after school on the day school gets out. It was our first time going and the boys loved it!!!

Afterwards EVERYONE (really the entire school) heads to the pool to get clean....it is nasty the pool is insanely crowded and filled with nasty whipped cream.......luckily another friend invited to swim in there pool so we avoided the crowd part :)

Thanks Kane family. This is definitely going to be a great tradition to add to our last day of school!!

Fathers Day

We had some big plans Fathers Day weekend. What we didn't plan for was strep throat. Talk about major bummer.

Jeff and I bought tickets almost 2 years ago for U2. We were so pumped to go!!

I got strep throat the day before the concert and I felt like death. I opted sadly to skip the concert. I was very sad and it was definitely no fun to stay home with 4 kids. Jeff felt good enough to go and had a great time. Although I have forbidden him from talking about it or rubbing it in.

So Jeff started off his fathers day at U2. Then that morning we surprised him with cinnamon rolls from cinnamon productions and presents. We went to church and then had a yummy dinner of roast beef and potatoes. We ended the night with dessert at Jeff's uncle's house.

WE are so lucky to have Jeff in our life. He works so hard for us and we are glad we got to spoil him a little. Although he definitely deserved more!!

Schools Out For Summer...

Schools out forever!! (cue cheesy rock song)

I have a love hate relationship with summer. Some days all hate very rarely all love.
Noah's last day of school was tons of fun.....not sure if that was really different from any other day there was a lot of what seemed like play days of no actual academics at all.
Once that bell rang we were out of there. I forgot to even say goodbye to his teacher. Not that she cared She was probably as happy as we were to be DONE.

So now it's onto FUN!! And a little work in between trying to make up for months of the non learning so he can be ready for first grade!!

We are working on crossing off our summer list!!

Last Day

Every year when school comes to an end I get sad......sad because it means my kids are getting older, I have to entertain them, and the routine!

Sawyer has loved preschool this year and is really going to miss his teachers this year!

Mrs. Shultz and Mrs. Sims despite the look on his face he really does LOVE both of these teachers and is going to miss them.

I love this preschool and I am so glad that we are going to be going there for many many years!!!

Open House

We had a great time at Noah's very first Open House!! He had so much fun showing us all over his classrooom and all the things he has had fun doing this year. Noah has had a rough start this year. I am sad that he truly hates school. I am hoping over the summer we can find some things that can make it a bit more fun for him. He has such a LONG school career ahead and I really want him to do well and enjoy it.

Here he is with his teacher.......he keeps doing this fake smile in EVERY picture. Grrr drives me crazy!!

By far the highlight was the slide show the teacher had put together. He loved seeing himself and his friends.

Before Open house we met Jeff and In-N-Out for dinner. I realized I had dressed the boys all in monkey shirts so I had to get a picture. I love Paul Frank tee's on the boys!!

Some day they will give me a decent picture!

4 more days of school I am so excited for summer!!! (Yes I am sure that will only last a week)

3 soft scrub cleaner sprays with bleach

Somethings I have learned....
Plan plan plan. If the store is out of something and they don't offer rain checks don't go on the fly and get something else it will mess up the plan!
Dont go when you will be rushed.
I Try avoid taking the kids and that helps a ton!
save receipts and double and triple check and don't be afraid to call out the cashier!!

STOP growing!! You are getting way to big way to fast! You are the best baby EVER. Really you make mommy want to have ten babies! (then I see your brothers and snap back to reality!).

You are getting so plump and chubby I want slather your thighs with butter and eat them.

Thank you for being so patient with me and your brothers especially with all the sickness around lately.

You are such a trooper. Yours and my favorite place is having you on my chest in the ergo. I love how you cuddle in and fall asleep every time. And I love to smell your sweet skin.

Burnt out!

After the last few months of go go go we have hit a wall big time. The boys have had this nasty cold flu thing for the last two weeks. At first it was nice to just lay low but now we are going a little stir crazy. Which my explain my new hobby....coupon clipping. Jeff and I have been watching the new show on TLC about extreme coupons it is crazy. Jeff gave me a challenge and told me he would buy me an iPad if I saved us that much on groceries.

Obviously I have a long long way to go given an iPad is expensive! But Im up for the challenge. So this week will be my first shopping trip wish me luck!!

Mothers Day Weekend....

I was a lame picture taker over Mothers day weekend. But we had such a great weekend out in Temecula. We went out to Taylee's baptism. After the Baptism I went with Leslie and my mom to take pictures of Leslie going off to prom. After that we went back to Cari and Sam's house where we had yummy pizza's on the BBQ.

Anderson was so cute with Rhys. He just wanted to hold him and give him LOVES!!

Sunday was a great day as well. I woke up early to my Dad, Jeff and the boys making my mom and I breakfast in bed. Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. It was the highlight of the day being with my mom and sharing breakfast in bed with her. Afterwards we went to Jeff's cousin Zach's homecoming. It was a great weekend! I loved being spoiled!!

2 Months

Rhys turned two months on May 1.

He is such a little love. He is starting to be so much more alert and awake.

He has had rough few weeks. At his 2 month check up he got four shots and then the next day I was finally able to get his circumscion done. Then he got a horrible cold. The poor thing. I swear I sucked out his weight in snot. YUCK!

At his 2 month appointment he was 10lbs and 22 inches. Both 25% but given he is a preemie he is above right on track. Other things about Rhys......He is a pretty good
sleeper. He eats around 11 and wakes up between 5 and 6. Every now and then he wakes up around 2. But really I can't complain. He LOVES to be swaddled. He still sleeps in our closet in the bassinet.

He just started smiling a ton and it is so precious.

Every night right around 8 he gets fussy. He knows that it is his special time with Mom and Dad. As soon as his brothers are down he wants to be held and snuggled. and we gladly do!

Broken

Thursday evening I was making dinner and talking to Jeff like I do every night when Noah ran in to tell me Sawyer had hurt is arm really bad. I knew as soon as I heard him that it was bad. This cry was so much different than his usual cry.
We determined that him and Noah were playing on the trampoline wrestling Noah landed right on his elbow.
Noah felt really bad. We have since turned him into Sawyer's personal slave.
About 1 hour later he still wasn't using it and still crying and being really upset. We decided to take him down to the ER for an X-Ray.

After about 2 hours we finally got him in a room he finally stopped crying once we found wipeout on TV.
He had to take two sets of X-Rays. It was so sad he was in so much pain and just screamed.

Finally about 5 hours later we were on our way home with a temporary cast. The x-rays didn't show a break but that is common with the elbow and given how much pain he is in they are treating like a break.

They told us to call an orthopedic office on Friday to make an appointment to follow up.

We had an appointment for Monday but given how much pain he was in we really wanted to get him in before the weekend. After Many many phone calls Jeff got him in Friday afternoon.

They decided it was better to give him a cast so that he would heal quicker and not cause any more damage. He chose a blue cast.....

He has done better today with round the clock motrin.

What I learned....
Don't go to the ER for a possible broken bone you will wait 10x longer and they will just send to an orthopedic. I am not looking forward to that bill.

It is the worst possible thing to watch your child suffer. It breaks your heart in the worst way.

So glad the worst is over and it could have been so much worse!!

Carnival

Noah's school does a carnival every year. It was so much fun. I wish we had gotten there a little earlier so we could have met up with more of Noah's friends. At least we know for next year.

They had a ton of cute games and the boys had a blast!

Sawyer had a ROUGH day so as a punishment he had to sit in the stroller I told him no games at all. But we gave in and let him play a little.

We probably shouldn't have let him out because he didn't learn his lesson. I am working on trying to stick with my punishments. We have lost control around here and I am desperately trying to take it back!

Dodger Day

A few days after busy season was over Jeff took the day off and we took the boys to a dodger game in LA.

The boys had fun. It was a long game in the heat but the dodgers pulled it out in extra innings!

Jeff and got new dodger hats!

The boys ate and ate and ate.

Afterwards we went and had dinner at the grove and walked around until the traffic died down. It was a fun day. Except we do remember why we never go to games. LA traffic stinks!!

Toothless

Sawyer's front tooth has had a bruise for awhile. The dentist warned us that he would probably loose it soon. Then last week him and Ryder were wrestling and Sawyer's tooth was knocked completely loose. He kept saying he couldn't eat so Jeff pulled it out.

He is going to be toothless for a while luckily he is such a cutie!

Mothers Day Celebrations

By far my favorite thing about Mothers Day is celebrating with my little boys at school.

Thursday I went to a Luncheon with Sawyer put on by his preschool. They do such a cute lunch and I love spending time with him and his friends and hearing about his day to day activities. We had a yummy lunch made a craft and the kids sang.......

On Friday Noah's kindergarten class put on a cute mothers day fashion show. It was so fun to spend time with him and see him so excited to show me the things he made.

It was a great start to Mothers Day weekend. I so needed this day like I said in my last post these last few months have been rough. It was nice to be able to be reminded of why I do this and that I love my family very much. Although it is a huge challenge I wouldn't trade being there mom for anything!

Before I got pregnant with #4 I was hesitant. However many people told me oh once you have three you might as well have 10. Well guess what they LIE!!!

It's partially my own fault that I am going crazy. I still want to do things and pretend I don't have four boys 6 and under. For example,
Going to any store for 1 or 2 things
Going out to dinner
Going to the mall

And those are just to name a few.

People keep telling me wow slow down you have a newborn. But really If they came over to my house they would probably tell me to get my butt in gear.

My children and are all still acting out each in there own way....
Examples:

Ryder, he knows the second I sit down to nurse and goes for the jugular. Today he smeared not one but two things of pudding all over the ottoman.
I literally have to keep the cupboard lock with me at all time and a lock on the fridge otherwise I pay for it.

Sawyer: recently my visiting teacher asked him how the new baby was he told her he was dead....and sadly he is the most nurturing.

Noah: oh Noah my sassy sassy 6 year old. He has been something else and is having the hardest time. He snapped a pencil in front of his teacher. She acted like he murdered someone but that is a whole other topic.

I wish I could say the adjustment is easier but in truth you will have to come over you will see dirty boys most likely not clothed me in sweats that is if I dragged myself out of bed and a sink full of dishes. Oh and a home cooked meal? Ha not this week.

I'm not saying all this for a pitty party. I just have to document that this is hard. There is stuff that no one can prepare you for. And lucky for me the older they get the harder it is. I guess I should have listened when my mom said little people little problems.

So here's to another LONG week. Slowly I am hoping to gain what little control I once had. Until then don't judge :)

Easter Blessings

Easter almost got away from me this year. We didn't do a lot of our normal traditions which makes me a little sad but with Noah's birthday, spring break and planning the blessing there literally were not enough hours in the day.
Sunday morning the boys woke up bright and early. They were so excited to see what the Easter Bunny brought......the blow up light sabers were and are a huge hit!

On Saturday we went to the easter egg hunt at church. The boys loved it!

Sunday was a BIG day we blessed Rhys and Ryan Missy blessed Brady. It was so fun to celebrate together and share the day with them. I love that these two little guys will have each other for years to come!!

One of my favorite things about the weekend was having my family stay with us. I LOVED it. I was so happy to have my brothers come down from BYU and having them in the circle was amazing!!

It was very bittersweet blessing Rhys. I couldn't get over that it would be the last time I would put on that outfit on a baby. Jeff did an amazing job on the blessing. I am so lucky to have a great example for my boys. I love that I can count on him he always honors his priesthood and takes pride in this special day!

We are so lucky to be surronded by such wonderful men who could be in the circle to bless our sweet boy.

Rhys and Brady..........

Me and Missy with our sweet boys. It has been so fun having a baby with Missy!

And of course the day wouldn't have been complete without an egg hunt. Too bad it started pouring. Which resulted with the kids in cars and the adults cleaning up! Still worth it though

I am so sad that I didn't get any pictures of the brunch spread. I LOVE parties and had so much fun planning and prepping. Thank you everyone who contributed and helped in the kitchen!!!

Someone had a birthday!!

And in true fashion we CELEBRATED!! This kid is completely spoiled. There is no other Birthday's in April so we basically celebrate the whole month!! Lucky us. These are in complete reverse order...oh well.

Since Noah was on Spring Break I promised him we could go to Temecula and spend time with cousins and Grammy and Grampy. We spent the afternoon with Cari and Heather. Cari brought lots of snacks and cupcakes. Noah was thrilled. After the park Grammy, Grampy and Leslie took us to Chuck E. Cheese. It was so fun!!

On the way home Noah said it was his best Birthday EVER!! Oh and he told me how we could move to Temecula.....I told him he had to take that up with his father :)

Tuesday was Noah's actual Birthday. He woke up and of course wanted to open his presents. I was a mean mom this year and promised the boys Birthday parties. But with a new baby and a super busy husband I took the bribery route and promised the boys other things if they got over having a party. Guess what it was perfect. Noah wanted a DS and LOVES it. He plays with it constantly!!

Monday night we went out to dinner to celebrate too. he chose Outback...and ate every last bit of his steak.

The other hit presents were DS games and Legos. He has had so much fun building or watching mommy build and then laying with all his toys!!

On Noah's Birthday we went to Disneyland. Ryder and I had fun taking pictures while the big kids were on rides. It was crazy crowded and we didn't last too long.

Noah has been saving his money and talking about a remote control car since before Christmas ever since the Ride Makerz store opened in Downtown Disney. We ventured off so he could build his car.

Noah was one spoiled boy. I don't think he could have had a better day!!

Karate....

for a month of unlimited Karate. He is absolutely loving it.

It is becoming a great reward for him when he does well at school. He is really enjoying it! And the rest of us are having fun watching him do it!!

Sunday was Rhys's first day at church. I tortured the boys with pictures before we left..... It is nearly impossible to get one of all of them. Especially Mr. Difficult on the left.....I won't name any names (Ryder)

Tag Team

That's exactly what these two are doing to me. It's moments when they look like this that save me from locking them outside in the rain........ They must have been exhausted from destroying the house.

Between nursing, pumping and all the other Mom stuff there is a lot of down time for these two to trash the place. And boy are they doing a good job.

I was telling Jeff I am so tired of things being broken or ruined from them.....It will end right??

This weeks tally:

*car door no longer opens from the inside

*stickers covering car windows

*crayon on two new walls

*dumped an entire bottle of baby powder on the freshly mopped floor

*crumbled an entire package of hawaiian rolls and then threw them in the trash

* they ate have a costco size container of strawberries

Not to mention the day to day messes.....these kids have no clue how to eat and get food everywhere I can't wait for it to be a bit warmer so they can eat outside every night. Bathroom covered in pee and tooth paste. Ryder keeps stripping down and peeing everywhere....I need to potty train him but seriously I can't even imagine adding that into the mix right now.

Ugh....mostly it isn't even noon yet. It is going to be a LONG day!!

Leo Carrillo

It's time once again for our annual trip to Leo Carrillo. Since Rhys is such a little thing we didn't go up and spend the night. But my parents and Leslie were great to take Noah, Sawyer and Ryder up on Friday. Jeff, Rhys and I drove up Sunday to get them and spend the day. It was a gorgeous day. It was so fun to see almost everyone and enjoy some yummy camp food. The boys had a blast and didn't want to leave. Here are a few pictures that I managed to take......

My parents are amazing! Jeff and I had an awesome weekend. Eating out, shopping, watching movies and even better SLEEPING!!! Thanks again you guys!!

A Month

Rhys is exactly one month today. He is still such a sleepy little thing. I still can't believe he should still be in my tummy.

He is doing great yesterday he weighed in at 6 pounds 9 oz. He is gaining great!!

We are having some serious issues getting him circumcised honestly it may not happen who knew in two years no drs preform them in the office. Really? Thanks CHOC for not mentioning that one. All the other boys were done in the pediatricians office. So annoying.

We are loving our baby. Sawyer asked me today if we can keep him forever and ever......yep we sure can. If only he would stay this little forever and ever!!

I survived my FIRST week all alone. And WOW. SO SO SO many people told me oh once you have three you might as well have ten because you are already out numbered.....oh heck NO!!!

Rhys is such an AMAZING baby. He is already so patient and so content.....I am really really hoping this lasts and it's not just that he should still be in the womb. But we will see.

As for the other boys...they are proving to be difficult.....that would be an understatement. There is no control around here....I am trying so hard to take it back but with zero sleep and busy season I don't see it happening anytime soon. They are each acting out I am going to make them T-shirts that say I am acting this way because I have a new baby at home. Maybe I wouldn't be judged as harshly......how long can I use this as an excuse??

I am hoping that each day that passes we will get more and more comfortable in our new normal.

Then he opened presents.....he was very happy with Stinky's friend Rocky and his electric guitar.

After church Grammy, Grampy and Leslie came down they brought dinner and dessert. It was so nice to not have to worry about dinner or anything!!

The 12 days that Rhys spent in the NICU seemed like weeks. I remember when we

had Ryder how hard I thought going to the NICU was. WOW it is so much more difficult this

time around. I wanted to be there 24/7but was lucky if I could make it down for one feeding.

Of course it was NEVER enough. And of course the days were filled with insurance issues, sick

kiddos at home, my incision getting infected and opening back up. Every day I was in the NICU

I would hope and pray for the good news that Rhys was going home. It is so frustrating....

each nurse did things very different some would feed him through his feeding tube with out even

trying to bottle feed him, some told me nursing was out of the question until he came home.

Saturday 3/11/11 we thought Rhys would be coming home......sadly it didn't happen. So on

Sunday I went down not expecting anything good. When the Dr. rounded I was thrilled when they said we were going home today!!! I quickly called Jeff who put the other boys down for naps and called his sister to come sit here so he could be there to help take Rhys home!

The boys were so excited to FINALLY have there baby home. It has been a whirlwind few weeks for them. For the most part they have adapted very well. Being VERY patient!

I am so happy that I have all my babies under one roof and to have the last month behind us.

We have been so loved by so many and couldn't have done it without you!!

March Birthday's

Last week we celebrated the March Birthday's with one side of the family. March is such a busy month. We went to Farrells which was great for the kids they had a blast!! The March Birthday's minus Rhys who was still in the NICU :( luckily I got to go snuggle him after dinner!

Tomorrow I start my last year in my twenties......CRAZY!!!!!

A WEEK

Wow to say this week has been a whirlwind would be an understatement. Having a baby in the NICU is such an emotional roller coaster. I wish I could say that since I have done it before and I knew that we would most likely have another premie that I was handling it like a pro. But I would be lying.

We have had SO many wonderful people surrounding us with whatever we may need. It is still so hard. I feel so guilty for not being there with Rhys and when I am with Rhys I feel guilty for not being home with the other boys. So basically my new name is guilt.

Rhys is doing really well the most frustrating part is waiting every day we hear someone else's opinion about when he will get to come home. I feel a little silly when people ask how he is doing because there isn't much in the way of updates. He is eating really well about every other feeding he gets exhausted so quickly. He is waking up every two to three hours ready to eat. Which is great!

He so far hasn't had to be on the lights for jaundice which I am shocked about because all of our other kids have had to be.

He is still in his incubator he is holding his own temp. But they don't want him burning too many calories in between feedings.

So hopefully in the next few days we will have a time frame or the good news that Rhys will be coming home. We sure miss him!!

This will probably be long and boring for most but for my sake here is the story of our miracle boy.........Last Saturday I was released from the hospital on strict bed rest. I will say I have done bed rest with each pregnancy and this was by far the easiest to actually be on bed rest. I felt really lousy so it was easier for me to actually lay around and do nothing. Monday night I wasn't feeling good. Jeff really wanted me to go to the hospital but I was convinced that I just felt yucky from so many days of lying down. My entire body ached. I got a great night's sleep after taking some Tylenol PM thank goodness! I woke up Tuesday feeling great I took a shower and did my hair and everything. I knew Tuesday was going to be an easier day Noah and Sawyer both had school and one of my friends had offered to take Ryder for the day. I was looking forward to the couch and relaxing the day away. Around 10 I crashed. I wasn't feeling good at all. With Pre-eclampsia they tell you to call if your blood pressure is over 140/90 if you have a headache or unusual swelling. I had a horrible headache and my vision was totally blurry. I texted Jeff and told him that I wasn't feeling so hot he asked me what my blood pressure was......150/100.

After talking to the Dr. they wanted to see me in the hospital to check things out.

When we got to the hospital they hooked me up to the monitors and my blood pressure was perfect. I had this crazy nurse who was making me hold my arms all funny and said this was the trick to getting low pressures. I was SO frustrated I didn't feel well and I knew that something was wrong. I felt exactly the same as I did with Ryder the day I delivered. They did blood work and other labs and everything was fine. Then my blood pressure started climbing at one point the bottom number was up to 110. That was it the next thing I knew I went from being told I was going home to a panic of getting my c-section started in the next 30 minutes.

Getting all ready to go in. I was so sad I didn't get a good belly shot before I went in I was a little sad to be done with pregnancy I was enjoying my belly!

Thankfully I got a new nurse she is a lady in our stake and she took amazing care of me. It was such a huge comfort to me especially since my mom was on her way but wasn't going to make it before I went in. She has been there before each one and she is SO calming for me I was trying so hard to not get anxious and remain calm. This c-section was by FAR my best yet! I didn't get super sick like I always do. I had the best anesthesiologist who listened to everything I said and I swear that made all the difference.

Jeff is such a trooper he is so wonderful at helping to keep me calm. He has been amazing through bed rest and all I have no clue how he did it all the last two weeks.

Finally he was out.........they had him out really quickly! He looked so teeny when they held him up. I felt so bad for the poor little guy just ripped from the womb like that. Right away he was doing really well. They were in the room working on him for a while and I was so happy he had an awesome cry! His lungs were great I had received steroids for his lungs the week before and I think that made all the difference.

As they were working on Rhys I could hear Jeff say he wasn't feeling well. The nurses

quickly got him out of the room. Poor guy they had him sit down in the hall way with some juice.

He said the room suddenly got very warm and he thought he was going to pass out. The nurses were glad he spoke up a lot of people just pass out which means a check up in the ER and lots of paperwork. I am SO glad he didn't pass out.

I finally made it to recovery my parents and Jody and Rich came in and visited me showing me pictures of Rhys. It was good to have them all there because it helped me not think about the pain and the horrible shaking which I HATE!! The worst part of high blood pressure is the magnesium they put me on afterwards to prevent seizures. It burns so much going in the IV and makes me feel nasty. So the next day or so was kind of a blur.

We had many many many visitors. These three were my favorites though. They have been such troopers with all the craziness. My parents have been amazing bringing the boys back and forth and taking such good care of them.

All and all we are doing much better than a week ago. I was checked out from the hospital on Saturday. Rhys will have to be there a few more days. He is doing awesome. He eats like a champ and his lungs look great. So we wait I can't wait to have all my little men under one roof. Discovery Cube

Before the craziness of bed rest we had even more craziness at home. We found out that our house had a slight mold problem that needed to be taken care of right away. It was the worst week ever for construction with freezing weather and each of us having horrible colds and such.
We stayed at a hotel for a few nights which really helped everyone get well again the construction dust was killing us.
One of the days Jeff took off because Noah didn't have school and there was no way I could do another rainy day with three kiddos. So we decided to make some fun of the bummer situation and we took the boys to the Discovery Science Center. I took Noah years ago when we moved here so it was fun to go check it out. We ended up getting a pass which will be very fun over the next few months. Noah and Jeff had fun checking out the hockey station.

The boys loved playing outside on the dinosaur bones. It was FREEZING but they could have stayed out there all day!!

They had the Sesame Street body exhibit right now. Ryder loved it. Noah and Sawyer were ready to move on pretty quickly.

Laying on a bed of nails.......he said it tickled.

It was a great way to spend the day after such a long week. We will be going back! It is a great place to spend a few hours!!!

So bummed I am 34 weeks and laying in a hospital bed. I really thought I was going to make it until March.

I was admitted to the hospital on Thursday and am hoping to go as long as my labs look fine sometime today.

I have a hard time sitting still and hope I can do it at home I would really like to have him stay in until 36 weeks.

I am so lucky we have received nothing but calls and texts on be half of us and our kids! I appreciate it and will be calling in all favors.

I am so bad at slowing down and asking for help. But I know I have so much family and friends who have offered to step up. Thanks so much! We feel the love and blessings and are so excited to rest and get this little one here safely. So if you have any good book or movie recommendations send them my way! We all know I don't sit still well at all!!

We already know I love any excuse for a theme and some celebrating. Valentine's day is one of my favorites! It was a VERY crazy with the start of construction and sick sick sick kids but I still had to celebrate..........
We started the morning with pink pancakes.......not such a hit. My kids freak out when I change the color of things but I am determined for them to like it :) I saw this idea on a blog and thought it was so cute we had yummy yummy pizza, I cut all the pepperoni's in the shape of hearts the boys thought I was silly but really liked it!

Jeff love's Pina Colada's so I surprised him with some. These glasses always make me laugh we got them in the dollar bin on our first anniversary for sparkling cider. They make the drinks so much more fun!!!

Valentine's also marks the anniversary of us getting engaged! Jeff absolutely shocked me with a gorgeous new ring. I couldn't believe it.....still can't. It is gorgeous. It is a combined vday, birthday last baby gift. Thanks babe! I felt like a jerk because all I got Jeff for Vday was a dodger shirt. But he swears he loves it!

We never got to officially go out and celebrate with all the craziness right now but hopefully we will get in a date before Rhys comes!

I got this idea of my friend Autumn's blog for kids valentine's.....for some reason I can't get the final version to upload from photoshop......I added words for each kid and then punched holes in there hands and put a sucker. They were a big hit....now I have to come up with something for next year!

My friend Bethany and I hosted our annual Vday party I love love love planning parties for the little kids they are so cute and have such a good time. We had an awesome turn out and I can't even believe how many kids we have these days! Next up......Easter!!!

These are only about half of the kids. They are getting so big compared to the first year we did it!

The boys were so excited to have there first fun dips.....I know lame Mom I really try to limit the candy they eat especially Ryder he is a crazy person on sugar and really there is already so much sugar in everything else! They were in heaven .....until Sawyer got sugar in his eye...melt down!

We had a great day or days of LOVE filled things. I love my boys and am so lucky to get to spend my life with them!!

33 Weeks......Is that really me??

The other day while at the park helping Noah ride his I caught my reflection......YIKES! Some days I look in the mirror and think wow I am going to burst. Other days I feel like my belly is shrinking. It is so weird. I can't believe that we could literally have a new baby anytime.

Things I will miss.....

:Feeling Rhys kick. He is a bruiser I love feeling him first thing in the morning!

:The excuse....you know the you don't have to do ___________ because you are pregnant.

:How sweet strangers are to you when you are pregnant.

:Having a place to hold my phone it rests perfectly on my belly.

:My body?? I know did I really just say that....but really I have loved my pregnancy body this time around.

I have AMAZING friends!!!! They threw me the BEST shower! It was so amazing to feel so loved! I am so excited for little Rhys to get here!!!! My friend Katie made everything so wonderful!! Thanks so much girls for such an amazing shower......how did I not get pictures with my girlies??
The theme was cute as a button.......primary colors like we are doing for his room!!!
Lots of family came too! I feel so LOVED!! I have loved being pregnant with Missy she is due with her first about a month before me!!!

It was so fun to get some new clothes! After three older brothers we are basically starting over so it is nice to have some new things to look forward to!!!

Aunt Lisa made the cutest blanket. It is so soft! Can't wait to wrap him up in it!!

Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with me! I am so excited for this little guy to come and join our family! Only a few more weeks!!!

It's rough being the middle child.......this is proof...... Sawyer has suddenly picked up sucking his thumb. It drives me crazy. I was hoping it was just a one or two day thing but nope. I am still entertaining ideas of what to do. I know he is doing it because of the recent craziness and the baby on the way but still. And for the record I have NO problem with the self soothing I just think it is a little strange for him to pick this up almost 2 years after not having a pacifier.

Steal of a deal. I have had my eye on this swing since I found out I was pregnant. Our old swing was done. I really didn't think I would buy it but when I was at target today and found it for half off I had to have it. Sadly they were completely sold out so I begged the lady to sell me the floor model. Bonus for me it doesn't have to be put together! Note to self for future purchases......LET PEOPLE HELP YOU! I was a sight pulling my target cart Sawyer helping push, me carrying the swing waddling to the car. (and yes I waddle....but that is for another post)

Other deals.....crib sheets for $2, milk storage containers for $2, a boppy for $10 and a few sleepers! I love a great deal!!!

Monday was a holiday. Sadly Jeff had to work so I took the boys to visit him and go to lunch. It was great to break up the day and the weather was AMAZING!!!

I had my Drs. appointment this week.....I needed to see one more time to be sure it was a boy......not denial just needed to be told more that it was a boy than a girl. Well definitely a BOY.
It was exactly what I needed to get me excited for him. That night I made Jeff help me think of a name.........when we came across...... I fell in LOVE. It was like meant to be!! I was so excited to finally have his name I made these letters for his room. I love the way it turned out and am getting so excited for him to join us!!

January is huge for Birthday's in our family, almost every weekend we get to celebrate!! On Saturday we celebrated Grandma Jody and Aunt Shannon's birthday's. We went to Miguels and they gave us our own room which was great for the three trouble makers who are not restraunt friendly these days.

While waiting for our food we had fun taking pictures the kids were very patient!

We pretended we were on a date for about 5 minutes....then we were brought back to reality by the fifty bathroom trips and spills.

New Years.....

Like I said earlier we had a great New Years. My favorite this year....the food table surprise surprise. I broke my eating after 7 rule and gobbled up some of the yummy appetizers. Cari's potato skins were by far my favorite. MMMM....making myself hungry just thinking of them.

Here are the Teenagers as the left for the black and white dance.......they had a fun time! We sat around and played games. The BIG hit was bananagrams thanks Sandi!! I had fun chatting with Casey while playing yahtzee!

The reason I got to enjoy myself and play games......

Noah was the only one of our boys who made it to midnight with out falling asleep. He asked about 11:15 if we could go because he was bored. But was happy we waited once the hats and noise makers were brought out.

Sawyer passed out on Jeff minutes before the ball dropped.....

We spent the next day hanging out and playing games. Oh and EATING tons more! Oh and lets not forget the visit from the police. Apparently the neighbors called the cops from the night before and the fireworks some of the Dad's were setting off. It was a great weekend and we were happy to spend time with all the family!

Can you even believe that we just rang in 2011. It just seems so crazy to me.

This week I was watching Back to the Future with the boys and they were

in the year 2015 with flying cars......I am glad we aren't there yet!!

Personally I am more than happy to bid farewell to 2010. It was a difficult year to

say the least. I read a lot of blogs and on a few of them they are using one

word to describe there 2010 and a word for a goal in 2011.

The best word to describe 2010 is SURVIVED. I swear at midnight on New Years Eve

I took a big sigh of relief. 2010 we made it. We conquered and I am so glad

it is over! So I am glad to be onto bigger and better things.

2011 is going to be LIVED. That is what I want to do this year. Live it up.

We are embarking on the conclusion of our family and I want to live it up

and enjoy every second. I spent more time than I would like to admit in 2010

wanting and wishing for anything than what I had. Physically, emotionally, spiritually and

sadly worldly. I am working on omitting that from life as much as I can......hey

I am only human! I am in need of a BIG change for this year.

Our family is I have no clue what the change will be...besides the addition of

our 4th. But I am hoping it will be good. So hang on folks I hope I can deliver!!!

In an effort to LIVE I am attempting to a 365 picture a day project. So I have

something to look back on this year. And as always it will be the good bad and the ugly.

I didn't make any other resolutions for this year. I figure if I do better than surviving then

that's probably pretty good!!!

Christmas Day 2010

Santa came and boy oh boy do we have some happy kiddos around here!!!
The loot before.......... I thought for sure the boys would have us up at the crack of dawn they were excited. But they slept until 7!!! Which put me a little behind schedule for our 8 am family breakfast and it also explains why we have hardly any pictures :(

Noah was so excited when he opened his gift from Santa the at at walker from Star Wars. The thing is HUGE over 2ft tall. He was in heaven. And so was Daddy!!!

Santa always brings a little before breakfast treat of chocolate doughnuts.....Sawyer and Ryder were not about to open anything until the doughnuts were devoured!!

Jeff got me a cute necklace I had hinted at earlier in the week. I was shocked when I opened because I had only told him about it on Monday so I was not expecting it! It is a hand stamped necklace that says I love you more.....when I saw it I had to have it. Jeff and I have always said that to each other since we started dating over 10 years ago :)

Another BIG hit around here were the pillow pets. I spent a lot of time trying to talk the boys out of them because I thought they were silly. But they have LOVED them. Whoever came up with them and the infomercials are geniuses. Sawyer every time he wants it to go from a pillow to a pet says I want a cuddly animal now......yeah right out of the commercial!

After we opened our Santa gifts we had to scramble to get ready we had the Heaton/Trapp clan for Breakfast and celebrations. Breakfast I thought was SO yummy and I am still craving it. We had this yummy egg casserole my friend Kelly gave me the recipe for. French Toast with coconut syrup eggs and bacon. MMMMM!!! I got zero pictures I was too busy running around. I will have to steal some from Jeff's mom!!!

After we finished up with Jeff's family we headed out to Temecula to be with my family. My poor mom had to work until 12 so we got there just in time to have Christmas with them. The boys were in heaven playing dress up with the huge bin of costumes they got......sadly I was FAR to exhausted from days with zero sleep. I know why my mom always got strep throat right after Christmas it is a lot of work.....worth it. But I have never been so tired in all my life.

After gifts with them we went to Cari and Sam's so we could hang with the cousins and see the rest of my family. It was a nice day. We are so lucky to live so close to all of our families so we could see everyone. But it does make for an exhausting day. Luckily we had all day Sunday to rest and relax!!!

Christmas Eve 2010

We spent Christmas Eve with the Trapp's. We started the afternoon by going to church and then dinner then it was back to Grandpa and Grandma's for gifts and fun.
The kids were all excited to track Santa on Papa Paul's i-pad.......

Noah and Jenna.....I love that they play so well together and have so much fun. Even when we don't see them as often as we would like!!! They just pick up like they saw each other yesterday!

Uncle Eric and Noah. The boys love Boomer and Kingman. They picked out special bones for them for Christmas......they want a dog SO bad.....maybe someday!!

Noah was very excited about his new star wars ship! He has been playing with it non stop!!

Aunt Jamie and Ryder......he was having so much fun playing and getting LOTS of attention. Especially because mommy was so busy the last few days!!

It was a wonderful day......we are so blessed to live so close to so many of our family members. Every Christmas is always wonderful and magical and every year it gets better and better. I love Christmas season. I love being pregnant this time of year I can't help but think of Mary and how remarkable she was and what a miracle a child truly is. I am so grateful for my Savior and this wonderful time of year we have to celebrate his birth and life. We hope all of our friends and family had a magical Christmas. We sure did!!

Noah's School Christmas.....

On Friday Noah had his first singing program at school. He was so excited about it and was talking about for weeks. He invited my mom, Jeff's mom and Aunt Patrice. He was so excited he even told his teacher that they all came. The program was hilarious they songs lots of songs the best part was when the two classes got off on there parts and it was almost like a round. We were busting up.
They also had a book exchange.....it was pure chaos.....Noah's class is really boy heavy and the boys were going nuts......we had to have a little talk about gifting when Noah didn't like the book he ended up with.....luckily he wasn't the only one. Noah's class has all the kids with food allergies so it is VERY stressful to find stuff for the parties. My friend Lisa told me about an idea of decorating sugar cones to look like Christmas trees. It was a huge hit the parents loved it and no one had any allergic reactions.......thank goodness!!!

My mom was nice enough to take the little boys home so I could stay and help with the party. It was nice to spend some time with him and not have to worry about them at home!

FHE Christmas

We won't be able to go to the Neilson's Christmas day and either will Rob and Shannon so Grandma Jody and Grandpa Rich invited us over for dinner and family night. The boys love to be with everyone and it is always fun to spend Monday night together.
Trying to get a picture of the kiddos in there new clothes from Aunt Lisa.....Sawyer and Ryder were way more excited about the suckers that Nana gave them. These two would turn into candy if we would let them. Luckily they go to the dentist tomorrow!!! Cute little Kaitlyn.......she is SO mellow. I guess that is to be expected from being the only Grand daughter. She will go to anyone and just is happy as can be.....unless she see's Mom or Dad and then she wants them to save her.

Sawyer absolutely loves little Kaitlyn. He has so much fun playing with her. He is so sweet...I think he is definitely going to be the most nurturing with the new baby.

Aunt Lisa got the boys new flannel jammies. Noah LOVES his. He was like these are exactly what I wanted. He LOVES Pj's and changes as soon as he gets home from school. He loves the flannel Star Wars ones!!

Great Papa and Nana with a few of there Great Grand kids......Nana said she was counting up the upcoming babies and such and they are up to #70 in the family! So crazy. What an amazing legacy!

It was a fun night. We will miss seeing everyone Christmas day but are so glad we could get together and celebrate the season with them!

Festive weekend.....

Last weekend was Noah and Sawyer's last soccer game. Due to rain we had to play two make up games. Noah really got into the last two games scoring goals and having tons of fun. He is a little sad it is over. Jeff is not.....he stepped up and coached the boys he did a great job and is very happy it is over. He was even more excited when he got his coaches gift a black addidas jacket which he later went out to get matching pants. Seriously he has wanted an Adidas jacket and pants for a while so I think it was more than worth it!

Later that night we went to a drive thru nativity at a local church. They do it every year and it has become a fun tradition for our family. The boys love seeing all the animals and listening to the Christmas story on the radio. This year Aunt Patrice, Aunt Lisa, Katie and Anna joined us.

Afterwards we stopped at Starbucks for hot chocolate....they make the most perfect sizes for the kiddos. Then we went and walked around Candy Cane lane. It was a great festive weekend. We just love this time of year!

Last Friday Jeff and I went to his work Christmas party. Every year there is a hat contest this year was a Mexican food theme so we had to decorate Sombreros.....I had fun decorating them! Jeff was very happy that they had a Mariachi band.
Here we are in our hats with Patti........ We had yummy Mexican food. It was nice to get a night out away from the kiddos!

24 Weeks.......

It's hard for me to believe that I am over half way done with this pregnancy. It's gone by faster than I thought. I am feeling pretty good these days.....seriously if every day could be like the second trimester than I would stay pregnant forever!!! Although I am still seriously lacking the energy to keep up with the craziness of three boys plus the holidays!!

I feel huge!!! Thank goodness leggings and boots are in because it is seriously ALL I wear!!

This little guy moves a TON! Especially if there is music playing. A new thing is every morning around 6:15 he starts moving like a mad man. Which is fine because that is when the other boys start stirring.....he already wants to be apart of the action.

Being pregnant with #4 has forced me to let go of a lot of things......life is just too busy. My house is never going to stay as clean as I would like, my boys my not always have the perfect spikes in there hair and most weekdays I may not have clean hair.....I know TMI. But really it is doing some good for me to realize I can't always have control......even though I HATE to admit it!!!!

It's even harder for me to believe that if things go like Ryder's pregnancy this little guy could be here in as little as 10 weeks.....INSANE! The plan is to go on "modified" bed rest at 30 weeks. So far my blood pressure is staying down....(but it always has until about 30 weeks. So we will see)

For journaling sake.....
Last month I had my big 20 week anatomy scan. We found out early on that it was a boy...so I wasn't expecting anything different but when I sat down the Dr. immediately said it was a girl.....I was like shut up are you serious......she went on to do all the other things she needed to check for. Then right at the end she got this look on her face and was like "oh no" I immediately thought something was wrong....thankfully everything is fine it is actually a happy healthy BOY. I am not going to lie I was devastated for a few days. Not because it was a boy but I kind of had to mourn the loss of a girl. Hard to explain. But the more and more I think about it a girl really wouldn't fit in here. I mean really the poor thing would be tortured with three big brothers. And I do enjoy being the queen of this all boy castle.

Yes it is crazy....yes they are BUSY but I like the no drama and easy going boys I have. Even if they do run me ragged.

Last Thursday we took another trip to Disneyland. Grammy and Uncle Aaron were going to go with us the week before but they ended up with colds so they couldn't make it. We decided to try again the next week. I was surprised how much more crowded it was in a week. We had fun checking all the holiday stuff and stayed until it closed.

Aaron was a good sport and took Noah on his favorites Indiana Jones and Space Mountain. I especially enjoyed sitting on a bench with hot chocolate chatting with my mom and people watching. People watching is one of my favorite things to do at Disneyland.
